If you want to trade G/U you really should use London hours currently 11.54. Broker offsets can be a pain but try using a UK based one. Germany is obviously 1 hour ahead of the UK to start with.

I am actually aware of this, I even have a clock/session time on my chart

I guess I am still in weekend mode. I also woke up late today + missed spotting bank holidays + some more. Shouldn’t have pressed the buttons at all...

I would prefer trading with a UK/EU based broker but due to the leverage only up to 1:30 I would have to keep more money at the brokers account as I would feel comfortable with (even if there is asset protection) or trade at a far smaller size which then would make trading the BillyBar not worth my time anymore or I would need to make enormous amount of pips just to be able to pay some billy from. I would do better then by just regular working for the time.

Isn´t my day so far.

1. -$750 on the BillyBar
2. +$125 (trying to fix / reduce)

this is a bad time to be countering etc , especially how the market is and how it is a holiday.
i am 3% up , plus running a counter at minus £2100.

dax has been good to me with 3 scalps , but that is something else.

Yes. I did not counter/locked it. I went in like regular this morning (traded the line). So bought at the high. SL at the opposite end of the range.

This got me -14. Then i took another short trying to reduce my loss a little bit by looking for +5 again, but got out for -8 again. So -22 at this time. Then i had 2 more buys but could only manage +3 Pips on them.

So right now at -19 (-$1000).

So maybe it would have been better stayed at the sideline today. Maybe i would have. But didn´t even notice about the holidays.

Now its easy to say after the event. Will think of adding to my own rules not trading while there are holidays. Would this have saved me? Hm who knows...

What is a bit annoying that it only broke the low to get me stopped out there not traveling any much further. A stop loss of -21 instead -14 and letting it run just an hour later would have made my day. But easy to say this again after the event. Somehow at some point you have to cut your drawdown. I actually wanted to place a counter here, so locking it in but messed around with the orders so i got stopped out instead.

Anyways. Hope to get it fixed. Maybe not today anymore.

Ouch. Not a good day. Best to walk away when having one of these days - I know it's easier said than done we've all been there. Good luck with the rest of the week.

I still tend to make the mistake of trying to fix my fails too soon. Without actually waiting for a valid new trigger. For sure this new signal can fail too but the chances are perhaps better then instead of me trying to trade what i see then. So far at least it always worked out.

My trading plan like i laid out my self allows for a -10 more pips of that size for today. So i might extend my bad luck now until hitting the total loss number per day or maybe getting it reduced a bit at least.

Minus ... Trading the Billy Bar

I used the middle of the 15 minutes bar as a stop loss and reverse. But I wait for the 5 minutes candle to close on the other side of the middle line, so sometimes I get bigger losses. And then I reverse trade.

Currently in a buy, it must break either direction. I will use 2.5 times the 15 minutes range as a profit target.

I have a long open. It is those days that I thank myself of not doubling positions after each loss.

What a day... Another short of +5 got me back to -14. A total of 5 trades today.

Will leave it by that and call it a day. Hope to get it fixed tomorrow.

Not sure if this is of any meaning but just watching the weekly chart for GBP/USD I see we are in week 6 bullish so far.

The last time i did spot 7 bullish weeks in a row where 7 closed green too was back in 2012.

All the signs are pointing up the way. Let's see.

Thankfully I did not trade the 12-4am range break this morning. Felt the daily open being down there might cause issues. It went down for a couple of pips and then shot up.

It should be going up although we have hit 3 year highs. Problem is the Prime Minister moves the goal posts every day. Sitting out until NY opens - might see some sense then.

@ Lem having an afternoon at Kempton - have a look if you get a chance. Gosden has a sure winner but low odds.

cable 08-00 break made +5%.
i was hesitant at first as the 08-00 bar broke through my 00-00 4 hour bar area low, it looked like it was going down.
SOOOOOOO the high broke and i left it lol, then it retraced slightly and i went long. all ok.
