Hello everyone Has anyone applied or become a Pro Trader / Sophisticated Investor with IC Markets?

I saw that Icmarkets have standard and raw trading account. I didn't saw before about pro account. Although Icmarkets may have difference about country and origin.
Not sure if this thread is still alive but I also applied for a pro acct, not with IC, but a major broker in the UK. Retail accounts were subject to greater controls around leverage in 2018 and it made trading with my small account pretty fruitless. I was offered max leverage etc on the pro account and took it. Was pretty easy to do, didn't have to provide anything to prove my status - not sure I'd recommend it though, especially when you're seriously undercapitalised to begin with. I'd be interested if anyone else in the UK is also on a pro account?

But now, there are a lot of brokers offer high leverage & others to normal acc. Is it pro account really matter? For example, pro ecn in my company Vantage, commission is 3USD/lot. I don't know is it matter or not，
I'm certainly feeling that way, as IC Markets have recently forced myself and maybe other traders
on their NY server using their custom cTrader software with double the spreads (at any time of the day) for
the same asset (AUDUSD)
This is the most unprofessional, misleading opportunistic way by forcing account transfer to extract
more money out of retail traders, worse still any communications via phones are rarely answered and emails
maybe get partially answered after 7-10 days
