I am always amazed to see how consistently Hidden Divergence patterns occur week after week on the 4 hour time timeframes. Most of the times they are winning setups. This last week is no exception. Personally, after spotting a HD pattern I like to switch to the next lower timeframe and wait for an oscillator like MACD or the Awesome oscillator as in the pics below to give an entry signal.

Hi chamane, are you no more using the cost averaging method (8-12 times lower timeframe) in the TZ?
Also I noticed the accelerator oscillator as the HD spotting. Are you experimenting or no more using the stochastic/fxbay-macd? Thank you.

Hi RayV,
I was just posting last week's setups that would have been winning trades on the 4HR charts as the main timeframes. Mainly for illustration purposes. I did not have the opportunity to trade last week, but I find interesting to realize how many times it would have been profitable or not.

I still prefer using Stochastic and MACD for HD trading, but yoiu can also use oscillators such as CCI, RSI or any other of your choice. AC and AO are also a good option. If I am not mistaken, AO is similar to a 5-34 MACD and AC is like the MACD 5-34 histogram using a 5 period moving average.

The Cost Averaging approach is something I am using on a regular basis with all my strategies. For Hidden Divergence trading, I am still recommending using a main timeframe for pattern recognition, the next lower timeframe for entry signals, or better for the start of a Trading Zone and then take entries on the 8-12 times lower timeframe. If you start from 4 HR timeframes, you will end up taking entries on the 5 min charts which are a bit low for high spread pairs (higher than 3 pips). But as you can see on the pics I posted, HD gives good opportunities by itself.

I think all traders have their own indicator settings. You will find attached the template I use. Just paste the MACD oscillator in your MQL4 indicator folder.

Thanks for sharing! But the FXBay MACD is not the same as in the last posts i think!
