I have re-entered the short on a smaller chart.

It was a good rotation candle in my Area Of Interest. It is what Mr Pip would call a SoS 3 trade. It has the Fib level, structure and a 1:1 complex correction.

SL -9 pips. The rotation on the 233 tick chart played out, was looking for a complex correction but the bulls are strong today. Will be sidelined until after NFP.

Outlook for USJPY
Projection to the upside got weaker
Depth (retracement) to the downside got stronger
Momentum to the upside almost the same as the current push downwards indicating that bulls and bears are at least gaining equal footing.

Expectation is that price is unlikely to create a new structure high. It's more probable that it'll create a new structure low and begin a new cycle to the downside.

Expectation is a lower high then a new structure low.
Will trade this short once market has opened.

If NZDUSD confirms that it created a lower high, then I think a short is the way to go.

I was just backtesting to test a possible new rule to my plan when I came across this chart.

One of my favourite discoveries with Mr Pips thread is the rotation candle. This is how well the rotation candle works.
The last trade was TS'd at 36 pips.

Hi, I chanced upon this thread by sheer luck and I am in love with this way of trading ever since. I have just started trading. Barely a month and quite new to this way of trading. So I would really appreciate if the veterans can provide some insight on my analysis.


Dow Jones 1M Chart.

Expectation is NSH.
But : Momentum is Weak, Weak Projection and stronger depth.

The sharp decline from the area of resistance has me worried that the expectation is likely to fail.

Hi mudT, welcome to thread.

Without seeing the whole swing from top to bottom it is difficult to comment. The only thing I can say is to look at the structures to the left. If those structures are broken easily by the candles coming down without much of a pause it may be worth sitting the trade out. However if your expectation is to the topside for a NSH I just say be careful trying to "predict" if that expectation will fail.
