New TDI/RSI/MACD traders make a common error. They try to trade dead markets. They do not know their asset, so they will take a crossover on a candle that is well below the average range of a candle in an active market.

I consider the ATR of the bars that are relevant to the setup rather than the ATR of some predetermined number of bars.

{quote} Market is complex, if it was simple everybody makes money. Simple ideas from retail traders forum are not solution to a complex market. That's why most people lose. Twisting this around is silly and arrogant with no basis.
Ignored
I don't need to convince you or anyone else.

It is the average retail trader that makes the whole thing complex or thinks it needs to be complex.
The professional or Bank Trader only looks to trade against the "dumb money".

The complexity belief sells courses and training to the retail trader, which is an extremely lucrative side to this business as you can see from the Commercial Section on this Forum.

We as Humans, make things more complex than they need to be, when looking for solutions to problems.

So says the average retail trader.......................... who consistently loses.

What you can't see is all in the Price Action. The Price is always right.

If your intention is to project the image of a genius trader on this forum, the simple way to convince others is to attach a TE. You know the drill.

Because traders generally trade like a herd of sheep, they place their stop losses into the same area and get hunted down by a pack of wolfs.
So it helps to trade differently from other traders, let them me lambs to the slaughter.

P.S. I will wear that label as a badge of honour, a crazy manic scalper trading liquidity inefficiency's on a road to profitability.

One of the key forex lessons to learn is the importance of discipline, as this can directly determine whether your trades will be a success or a failure. This is especially important given how quickly the forex market moves and how its influenced by a multitude of factors.

I have learned that everyone here and other forex forums are not successfull traders. No offense but, why would you be here if you can constantly make money off the markets? You'd be living your life, not spending it here on a forum. Just my 2 cents

But again, its hard to face the truth that you wont be making any money, cause that possibility, the fact of "being rich" with Forex, is so close, but yet so far...

You guys have a good weekend!

Why am I here Byrig?

Trading forex from a home office is a lonely business. No interaction with any live person, no office chat, just nothing. About the only person in my family who was interested enough to talk trading with me is my pet Blue Tongue Lizard who sits in a cardboard box in the corner of the office. And yet he still won't talk.

However I am not lonely when I get involved with FF and a few Discord groups. There we share trading setups and strategy's, and we talk about our family's life's.

Making money has nothing to do with forums, its just helps passing the hours away while we wait for our next setup.

I've learned that one is better off trading or investing in stocks. Forex is pure gambling, there is no clear directional bias when it comes to currency pair movements. At least with stocks, historically there is a long bias, (buy and hold) and you can expect on average an upwards movement in price. In forex you will get whipsawed into a thousand pieces and go broke real quick. It's ok if you want to place a bet here and there but doing it consistently is a fool's errand
