New TDI/RSI/MACD traders make a common error. They try to trade dead markets. They do not know their asset, so they will take a crossover on a candle that is well below the average range of a candle in an active market.

I consider the ATR of the bars that are relevant to the setup rather than the ATR of some predetermined number of bars.

{quote} Market is complex, if it was simple everybody makes money. Simple ideas from retail traders forum are not solution to a complex market. That's why most people lose. Twisting this around is silly and arrogant with no basis.

I don't need to convince you or anyone else.

It is the average retail trader that makes the whole thing complex or thinks it needs to be complex.
The professional or Bank Trader only looks to trade against the "dumb money".

The complexity belief sells courses and training to the retail trader, which is an extremely lucrative side to this business as you can see from the Commercial Section on this Forum.

We as Humans, make things more complex than they need to be, when looking for solutions to problems.

So says the average retail trader.......................... who consistently loses.

What you can't see is all in the Price Action. The Price is always right.

{quote} you don't know why the average trader loses. jmn said: "They also take on risk while losing, and avoid risk while winning." well... I agree with that, but we are all different therefore I don't pretend to know why you lose.

If your intention is to project the image of a genius trader on this forum, the simple way to convince others is to attach a TE. You know the drill.

One of the first things I learned was from the Steve Corwin of FF.

It still applies to this very day.
It's all in your head.
