Although I cut my sell short made target low of the day 1.2058 with nice rebound back to 1.2120...however I did not take to long trade back up. Note this is a 15m chart.
Is 1.2058 possibly the low of the week? We shall see.

Hi Wave, I am fully in your camp. I carefully watch the DXY since 3 month and I am seeing a trend change coming. And today there was one of the important trade signals I was looking for - Knot: ECB Has Tools to Counter Euro Appreciation If Needed – on which the EUR dipped instantly.

I have to remind everyone… yes the short term movements are result of algos, but the parameters of the algos getting readjusted according to fundamental changes (capital flow and policies). And that results into trend changes.
And I feel that such change in the fundamentals is currently in the making… by the announcement that the ECB does not want the Euro appreciating. Knot’s message was an intended “forward guiding communication” – for the once that are not familiar with the Orwellian Language here the translation: manipulation of the currency market by influencing the believe of the participants. This is because I think Europe will face the next 2…3 month a hard time (corona Lockdowns) and one surviving tool is do depreciate the currency to animate (with a cheap EUR) oversea customers to lock in orders.

Actually I was of the view that there might be another DXY wave down to 88.40/89.20 which would give me the EUR 1.2420/50 we were looking for. With Knot’s warning this might not going to happen.
So I am expecting from here on a EUR down trend forming – of course over the next weeks and with some up and down swings.

Do you always use a 5 pips SL? I was wondering how it is going. I have thought about that because if a resistance or support is real then price will not go past it. Would take some time and practice to master. Technically you can take more trades and have a rediculously high risk to reward and limit drawdowns if price goes against you, however you can get stopped out pretty quickly.

Yes, I don't look necessarily for "tops" or "bottoms" but often times that's the case. My strategy allows me to use such tight stop losses because I will know whether I am right or wrong immediately. If price pushes through my level and oscillates up and below my price point, chances are my price will break. If you try to trade by joining an existing trend, 5 pip SL will get you killed unless you're a master of pullbacks/corrections but even then.

I don't recommend using such a tight SL unless you have back-tested and know that you can afford to use such a tight SL.

For example, I'm currently short and I will TP at 1.20779 where I will also enter long with a 5 pip SL. Looks like it's about to hit soon, I honestly believe there's a good chance of it breaking but in the unlikely scenario this recent spike was the low for the Day/week, 1.20779 can bounce up to above 1.21736 potentially. If it breaks, I believe it will go straight down to 1.19822 where I will long with a SL of 5 pips.

The 61.8% bounced, the 50% is bouncing, and the 38.2% is now bouncing WITH a touch of support. They all look like they're holding, but I think that even this level will break below. After this level is broken, I believe most traders won't try to buy anymore and accept that price will keep going down. If price bounces off my 1.20779 level and my 5 pip SL doesn't get triggered, it will simply sneak it's way up through all these prices and people will just watch it go up expecting it to drop, but it won't (assuming my strategy is correct).

It was an actual bank entry zone why are people screaming manipulation... It bounced off of the Main entry back to the profit exfil back to the main entry and now its back at the exfil target inline with the COT reports..

In the short side from 1.2093, expect another risk off day with all the gamestop madness.. will put my stop to BE if we get a move and looking to break 2053/60 area

Edit- out BE. Dont see that too often, a symmetrical triangle that broke up, then down, then up again... Couldn't make any pips on that move
