{quote} {image}Price has some resistance at 1.2165-75 area to work through. I like the 1.2222 area to lighten up the position as I think it will probably retrace from that area before continuing up. It's a bull market you know!

Still has a bullish look of higher highs and higher lows. Watching for any sign of weakness. Added to the position on the last dip. planning to add more if it keeps going. Moving stops to 1.2100

Daily S/R Levels for Wednesday

  1. 1.2153 area is nearest support..
  2. Bulls have to climb at least above 1.2170 for continuation..
  3. Bears have to break below nearest support and then below 1.21375 to keep hopes alive..
  4. Since Friday (or maybe even since one more Friday before) these are all inside bars and that is causing choppiness..
  5. Bias is bullish (because all candles are still above blue SMA-50) but still: trade carefully!

You had me confused again...
My gut was to buy 1.2153, but you were saying scalp sell 1.2155, so I did that with a 10 pip TP, because I was too tired to watch any longer and needed to take a nap.
I wake up, and my hunch proved right again. You keep flipping around long and short in all the wrong times.
Your chart with the "dashed lines" seem so "expert" which has a tendency to convince me to follow, but no good...
So, now, I'm still waiting to cash out of my shorts in the green, and get ready for FOMC and month's end bullish volatility.
As far as the fundamentals for the drop to 1.20, things flipped in the news just in time to support the bullish trend at 1.211.
I handled that all wrong, (bad risk management), and lost all my gains from yesterday. Back to where I started....
Didn't lose anything yet...
But I still believe big drop still coming after month's end... after bulls have their run the next couple days...
Believe it or not, like it or not, fundamentals call the shots, then technicals discipline the moves to give it some sort of a balancing order like the waves of the ocean . Don't be fooled by the seemingly "pre-planned order". It's not pre-planned. It's just an automatical "balancing order" after an offensive fundamental move.
To deny the fundamentals is to deny the tsunami caused by the earthquake, or the tidal waves caused by the hurricane. Technical traders are the surfers on those waves. Respect the source of the waves (fundamentals) then exercise skill with technicals. But always, what goes up must come down, and what goes down must come up, at least in some sort of a balancing order (technicals). If you can be aware of the fundamentals, then you can have a better idea of the depths and heights of the technical waves.
This is just my observation. The actual situation is usually more complex than even the most experienced "surfers" can master. Because of my lack of technical analysis education, I tend to gravitate to the suggestions of those who seem to be the most "in the know".
But if those who seem to be "in the know" enough to convince me, but then had the analysis all wrong is just plain confusing!
As far as my predictions of the "drop to 1.20", of course it was partially right. Kudos to those who profited from the ride down and cashed out at 1.211! I had 9% ROI strong, but let it pull me all the way back again...
And now things are confusing, so scalping is in order.
ALWAYS sell the top and buy the bottom. Never think just because the price dropped that it will continue dropping. Think waves of the ocean. Really feel it...
And ride with it... It appears like I still need to learn that better myself...
My 2 cents
Trade safe and stay green!
P.S. Ata, I really hope you can still improve your short term analysis. You're a great guy to follow, (if you're accurate) . Keep trying!
Be content with small gains. It all adds up over time.

Man, you really spent all that time writing that just to publicly stroke your own ego and be passive aggressive toward a great trader? I'm sorry but I have to say it, all of your posts are so cringey. You speak as if you are god's gift to trading and offer your 'expert' advice to others who have consistently proven themselves to do nothing but help others and are far more perceptive than you at this stage. Worry about yourself and stop polluting the forum with your self-aggrandizing diatribes about your amazing trade intuition and how your losses are only due to others confusing you, it's honestly sad and you don't seem to realize but you embarrass yourself every time you make one of these posts.

{quote} Dear Lord! You wannabe son of a gun! You are clearly spamming the thread and harrassing the thread owner who has been nothing but so understanding to your childish endeaveur. You have no understanding of what trading is, and worse, you lack many aspects of how a trader needs to behave at times of uncertainity. You have a big mouth and maybe this is why your wife left you or why your mum doesn't love you but don't take it on us here. You have bigger issues to solve before trading. Just stop harrassing people and stop looking for freebies....

I have been following up on this thread post for a few weeks now, I think it's pretty amazing (especially the discussions). Not a pro at analysis but I hope to learn better from all the other traders here (as I have been for a while).

Don't sleep and trade (just as don't drink and drive... you could spill the beer)
So? Putting a sell stop (or limit, depends on the hour) at 1.2155 before LC -sorry that I am repeating myself- would have given you your 10 pips easily. Within one hour. In your sleep.
Here's another one: don't trade and cry

By the way: if someone tells you to jump out of the window, would you do so and blame him that you broke your legs?

Just something to calm bears , as long as we don't take out yesterday's high, we are going to drop, and target remains 1.2000 this week. It's only if yesterday's high is taken out that you can panic and exist on the nearest support. I am still bearish and holding my short positions since last week.

Notice the candles daily is printing, lower highs, and lower low, that's the most important thing... Once we take out the low of yesterday, you can sit and sip ur juice and enjoy the ride.
Risk comes from not knowing what to do

DXY forming a pennant continuation pattern, scalping in here until it breaks

See what LO does at 1.21762 or 1.21420, yesterdays high and 0.5 fib of yesterdays move where the spike reversed, both are areas where price can react imo
