think i worked it out .. by the time system tred to move sl to +1, price was already back above that price:

..just closed a +90 (using 1:1.5 RR and no move to breakeven). MACD cross was barely w/ my rules but the bearish momentum was there so..

Reminds me of an approach by one Don Singletary, trader of Micro Futures. He uses the macd.

I know we are technical traders here, but i do think about fundamentals too. What do you think is driving this rise? Is it the perceived promise of stimulus or just a knee jerk reaction to a change of the guard?

was having issues with a lot of +1s and not a lot of follow through so like always i look for a solution. When i traded the NQ all i did was trade the 123 reversal and missed a lot of trends and thought nothing trend like the NQ so heres a video and how i am entering trades https://youtu.be/QGsM7VsNCXs

Thanks for the video, I have been having the same issues myself with + 1's. Except on the micro, even though I'm set for +1 it often keeps me at zero (not registering the +1).

Are you using trailing stop for second stage + 12 after 16. If not is there another way? Would be helpful if you could share your trade windows settings if not using a trailing stop.

step 2 is up 16 stop moves to 12

Messing around pre market, wished I hadn't as I would have probably stayed in this one a little longer. Made most of it back though.
