I made a poll on the frontpage if you would like to rate it here, we need some fun also, in contrast to the very serious, advanced and complicated speculation as above, ehe
So yeah join, comment posts, vote and I will be back later... I might need a rest before trading, have a good day gents, go make em pips

Because retail volume, shows you exactly how normal amateur traders think and trade if you analyze it enough over a long time, patterns emerge.

Hello thankyou for your blog, its nice to see someone have promising results. I noticed you mentioned retail volume. How do you get access to this? Or are you simply referring to the tick volume indicator which provides data from your broker? As the tick volume should include trades which institutional traders have placed.

13. WHERE I'M AT NOW 2021: Volume data + the theory, that retail traders loses the most, made me dive into that. Because retail volume, shows you exactly how normal amateur traders think and trade if you analyze it enough over a long time, patterns emerge. There is also a correlation between seeing patterns and intelligence, so it might be a good thing you like charts, hehe.. Actually, trading is a lot about pattern recognition.. Maybe that's also why our brains start to see patterns in our everyday life. I went through all the ways possible I could...

Thanks for sharing your journey!!!
13. Trading against the retail traders is an interesting theory.. and it does work in theory. I have attempted on this... and couldn't really make an edge. The issue I faced was.. about the timing of the entries. or may be I was not able to assess the shift in retail positions accurately, and manage my positions accordingly. Theory sounded good... but my level of execution was not really good. So how do you do it? And doing it intraday too? wow!!! . Which is the datasource you make use of? myfxbook or fxssi? Please share more details.

Combining volume with retail sentiment sounds a great combination. Where do you get the best volume data that you use for your analysis?

Hello Lekkim, read through your short blog/biography, wow, you and me at very different ends of the spectrum but brought together by a common interest, stripping away the economic side and focusing on the reasons for trading, I could put a tick to everything you said in agreement.
Not wanting to dismiss the economic side, it's something I have very little to do with, I probably should know more and I'm willing to put my hand up and say I don't, we have a saying, " A one trick pony" this is my category, I can create money from reading a chart, and lose it.
A very interesting read Lekkim, you, as well as the rest of us who's lives have been overwhelmed and overtaken by trading, deserve success, thanks for sharing, D

Update: Nice to see the increased activity in our thread

I plan on going through the post in the thread in the weekend and see if I missed to reply to some posts and pb's, both the happy posts, the obvious and on the critizism. Also, I hope that my 'blog/story/articles-ish' and very long and detailed posts yesterdays explains a lot of the areas the questions been on/about
So rn I'm lagging in my response, sry (but I read all) Been more busy than usual lately, trying to adjust to the pace.. Bc I want to give fulfilling answers to traders here

FINALLY, trading on the 'Lekkim AVT real' have begun
The first two trade opened in this hour: usdjpy long and audchf short

I'm starting slow, not complete in my setup with excel and other software and screen setup, but that's just trying to perfect it, I'm ready to start. Confidence about it, but also both excited and feel the pressure I put on my self, as well as all the people here, supporting me. Testing myself out now. Hope to be able to prove myself for real this time

Thread ideas in the making: Frontpage update, a contributor 'goodwill' top10 rank' and more.. I will be trading a bit (as a warm up today Friday with low leverage) and then if I feel comfortable with everything, I will trade high risk higher leverage trades next week.

Take care and GL all before the well deserved weekend for us all /L3kk1m

It's on
Trading the acc in mt5, here's a screen, but it's updating regularly on mfxb (edit: min size of us30 was 1, too much risk in pos size, the us500 or nasq better for this account size if trading us-stocksindex) Primary focus on FX ofc, but other markets probably going to be mostly long trades, bc like mentioned earlier at those markets = 'Long or wrong' (at least in the long term)

Detector .. Grab a look at Bill Williams Trading Chaos and in particular The Wise Man metaphor he uses . This will describe the speed of movement of the market in terms of acceleration and momentum. In my considerable experience with this the description is spot on as to how markets really work. Think multiple derivatives of price. We start with volume the 1st derivative and then accumulation and distribution as the later thing that changes as an an ultimate prelude to price which is the 4th derivative. Expressed another way ; the first change is...

Up to and stopped for now at chapter 5, (slow reader) reminded me from then, until now, ticked the boxes on most accounts, I'm there, dislodged from the reality, suppose it's a major obstacle many fail to conceive, we only have to look at our childhood when we lost at a game, but how good would it be to go back and tell ourselves our emotion will only get in the way of the next one, as a parent, I would "let my children win" but not all the time, they have understand how to deal with losing emotions.
Sorry Lekkim, just using up some space while your nose deep in the project, will gladly pull the post if required.
Syntax Error, feel free to like any post you want, even out of courtesy, the fact I've acted on your recommendation about a book has not even liked, D

Hey Volumers
I've been busier lately than I've used too, trying to keep up so bear with me

Haha guys listen... So, what happened on Fridays was, that I commented on the mistake on the US30 pos bc to lev was too high, but didn't change it. Got 50% called on it late friday. FX went pretty good though, so I just think I will stick to forex only next time.

Acc got big DD because of the stock trade... I will continue with real acc end of the month with new investment meant for the experiment.
Probably trading demo until then.. It was bad MM and unlucky aswell, well.. Deserved me right, for not calculating pos size beforehand on us30.. Anyways, thanks guys and I'm alright... Had to rest this weekend and regain energy.. Just remember, nothing stops this pursuit! It's fine to practice to point out the weakness of one's method, getting closer to finished strategy..

Have a good week,
- Lekkim

Ok, I'm out then. I can only repeat myself: consider some backtesting of a deterministic, preferably automatized strategy including money management. If you want assistance at this let me know. Starting over and over again with discretionary trading will lead to nothing in my opinion. Good luck anyway.

Hello Lekkim, I was busy last week but of course I kept studying the forex market, in particular a system i came across one month ago, it's called Beat the Market Maker (developed by Steve Mauro) and met a group of traders who profitably trade it, this thread came to my mind because the concept of trading against the retaliers is the same, but it's applied in different ways, have you ever heard of this way of trading? If yes what do you think about it? I think it may help you in improving your system in some way.
