Anyone know why all ready retarded high Oanda swaps were 10x today?
Ignored
I was a D1 trader with Oanda keeping charts open for a few weeks. I no longer trade them because of swap costs.

I checked everything from what I know but couldnt find the answer to this.....I even compared to the cost of last tuesday to see if its happening every tuesday but no last tuesday the fin costs were same.
I think you should chat with OANDA for the answer.....pls share with us the details too once you do so.

I would like that someone from OANDA explain this to me. Below is a screenshot in which on the right side is what I call account information that contains the value of the buffers of the expert advisor input. Here is the command on my expert for buying:
Inserted Code
   if (iCustom(NULL,0,"OW-#BB3",0,1) > iCustom(NULL,0,"(TPSSF",0,1) &&
Now here is the command on the account info:
Inserted Code
   + "OWtpssf " + DoubleToStr(iCustom(NULL, NULL, "OW-#BB3",0,1) - iCustom(NULL,0,"TPSSF",0,1), 5) + "\n"
Also below this command there is an individual detail value of the buffer for OW#BB3 and OWtpssf.
The rest of the Moving Averages or indicators follow the same format. Now my questions is: How in the hell having a negative value in the account info of the buffer gave me a BUY execution? Because the condition of the EA has not been met according to the values of the buffer that can be seen in the first value result in the Account info under the label "OWtpssf"

I want to share my experience and request for advice.

On December 20 I withdraw $5,000 USD from my Oanda account (have never withdrawn from them in the past and I've been using their platform for more than 10 years) since I needed this money for christmas.

They split the withdrawal amount of $5,000 in 19 transactions, each of a different amount, and marked all of them as "completed". To this day "January 6" I have just received 5 of those 19 transactions, for the total amount of $350 ($4,650 are still missing)

For this "slight delay" (as they called it) I had to request a loan that now I'm trying to pay.

I'm trying to work this, but Oanda has stopped returning my emails since 5 days ago. My bank already checked their system and they don't see any additional/pending transactions from Oanda.

This is starting to feel like a fraud. A case was already filed with the NFA to investigate.

Have any of you experienced this? How did you fix this issue?

Hi
well it surely sounds weird they would split up the withdrawl in 19 transactions!!
Did they charge u a comission, separately?
The email delay "could" be due to the holidays.I would try to call them, and also initiate a chat with a representative, for them to at least give you information!
Wish you luck!

I've been chatting with them on a daily basis, since 21 of December, suddenly they stop answering my emails. I have emailed them the past 5 days without a response.
About the 19 transactions, they told me it was because they withdraw using the same amounts of deposits I've made in the past.

The thing is that I still don't have those $4,650 USD in my bank account, neither in my Oanda Forex account.

I still do not understand how my brokers in Dominica, Belize, the Marshall Islands, etc. can get me my money in 45 minutes, but big, bad "regulated" Oanda takes weeks. Does everyone understand yet that the NFA/CFTC ONLY HAVE THEIR OWN INTERESTS in mind and they try to disguise this as protecting the trader? Regulation of the financial markets is the biggest joke.

Some brokers even pay the money to you instantly, if you use webmoney or skrill.

The problem is, you will never know, when will they stop to pay us, that is the time those regulators work.

They do not work in the US. There is no insurance/protection or compensation scheme if something happens to the broker. Mater of fact, the NFA/CFTC actually PROHIBITS this being offered to US customers. This is why I do not understand, if people actually research and uncover ALL THE FACTS, it is typical US government.....what benefits them, screw the people. The brokers are in their pockets, but it's really the futures exchanges pushing for no spot forex. It's just like tobacco, pharm companies, etc. Pay them enough they will pass whatever laws you want.

Did you deposit with debit card? Just withdrew a chunk of cash from Oanda as well. The deposits I did with Debit Cards are returned as refunds back to my bank account next business day, after that it is done as a ACH transfer which took several days. I have been with Oanda for over a decade and have never had an issue. I would not worry. I highly doubt it is fraud. 5 days from your post was Friday January 1st, New years day, a non banking day. The next business day was Monday January 4th. Contacting the NFA was premature. Just be patient.

Hi everyone,

I hope my question is in the right place here. I was stopped out of a EJ trade earlier this week and I couldn't figure out why. Price had never even been close to my stop loss (20 points away)...or so I thought. It appears there was a big spike in price lasting for less than a minute.

This spike only occurred with OANDA and none of my other brokers (3 different ones). I am in touch with OANDA about this, but they have gone quiet for now.

I have seen big spikes and I have seen price discrepancies between brokers, but never as much as 20 pips and the spikes have always been consistent between the brokers.

I wonder if any of you have seen this in the past, where only one broker shows such a spike? I am seriously tempted to let them go because of this, despite having had only good experiences with them so far.

Would love to hear your input.

W

The short trade was entered at 07:06:04 GMT 13.01.21 @ 126.620. Take profit was set at 125.620. Once the trade had moved down I changed the stop loss to 126.386 at 01/14/2021 05:11:53 PM GMT. The stop was hit at 01/14/2021 09:59:56 PM GMT.

As you can see on the above chart there clearly was a spike. None of the other broker charts I have looked at show a spike round that time. Any clues ?

Cheers W
