That's y u see consolidation at reversal zones before heavy drops or up moves. That's the market way of screaming get out of your previous order and enter a reverse trade . Doesn't work that way bro, if the market hit a reversal zone, it will reverse despite whether people are buying or selling... It's all technical and algorithmic

H4 Status Update

For now I have 3 major S/R areas based on this time frame:

  1. Currently the median line of inner channel: 1.2245/55 area acts supportive..
  2. If support works bulls might go back for a retest of inner channel upper edge: 1.2290/1.2300 area!
  3. 1.2206 area is my ultimate target for the day if bears keep breaking support intraday wise!

Hello all,

I am a beginner and came across this thread a few weeks ago.

First of all I would like to thank you all for the great posts here. Especially Ata, Austyno, andvk74 and ursinho4711. You guys are really great.

I am as I said a beginner who trades part time. I have been dealing with FX for months, tried a lot with demo accounts and only started trading with real money through IC Markets in October.

My strategy:
buy stops and sell stops on weekly highs and downs on 4 different pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, AUDUSD) with tight SL and small TPs.

It works quite well. I mean profits are low, but also the risk is. I could gain round about 15% in the last 3 months.
But to be honest, I think that was just luck.

I find it amazing how accurate your analyses are. So I would like to learn it to apply it myself.
Where do you learn this stuff? I would be very grateful if you could give me some tips.

Oh mate I know all too well, there's so many times I've been saved by this, as well as would have been saved if I was smart enough to take advantage of these opportunities...

I am too hoping for 1.23 btw

Honestly I can't see new highs anymore.. I am targeting mid-to-long term bearishness down until 1.1950 area for a deep wave 4 on daily as I shared many times earlier.. So bearish it is and probably without a major retrace up.. Maybe 1.2310 tops.. Still good luck bro

Considering a short scalp. TP will depend on a divergence with DXY on the H1.

I totally agree with Ata at least for today, i dont expect us to make a new high or take out yesterday's high.
Edit: 4hrs have started making lower highs and lower lows
So max high again for today may be 1.23379
