I must learn scalping because I am always in trouble

Hi there. Hope you enjoyed the Holiday. Just bought the previous retrace and closed at 1.22265 for 10 pips. Will hope to buy the next one as well. I'm trying to leave the trades open longer and move my stops but I got spooked and just took the pips. Thanks a lot for all your hard work, its very helpful.

hmmm ...... that is a no man's land ...... and under that trend line resistance so i dont know where the signal may have come from ......
so for reversals ........ the answer is nooooooooo , we are not going to be doing reversals....... just a test question.......... only buys whilst the trend is up....

scalping is over rated ...... it can be frustrating and rewarding but why go through nitty gritty of a few pips whilst a better option is there and available ....

i use dynamic S/R ... which have a proprietary status and hence not able to display ...... one could work on their own and polish it up.....

in summary ............ wait for price to go lower then look for buys ..........as we can see price is making a triangle on H1 for quite sometime now ........ looks like its cooking some kind of a new year resolution

well the idea is to let it drop and show signs of stalling on an uptrend.... no fixed numbers...... , whereever this happens , use yr confirmation and enter long ,,,,,,,, avoid overzelous entry

I think in the short term the trend is sideways now but believe the overall trend is still bullish. Some other pairs look bullish dollar which is creating uncertainty in this pair. I am new to this though so dont neccesarily have any idea what i'm talking about. There is a potential bullish wedge on the 4hr like the one preceding the current formation. That said I do believe it could come down about 50 pips before continuing up to the 122500 and either retracing continuing the sideways movement of the market or to break out of the bullish wedge and continue up.

Just buy dips and sell spikes with small orders. If the price has not dipped or spiked yet, then wait until it's confirmed that the price action has reversed. If you end up with a drawdown, then average down very carefully with more small orders of equal size. Right now, each of my orders are about 1/8 the size of my account balance. That works for me, but if you have a problem with calling profitable positions for your trades, then try trading with a smaller amount like 10% or 5% of the value of your account. Once you are in the green, don't get greedy, but close your orders immediately once price action has paused and looks poised to reverse. Then wait for confirmation of the dip bottom or spike top before opening up a new order. Do not respond to emotions, greed, fear, panic, or FOMO. I usually have a modest goal of 10 pips average profit per trade. After a successful trade, I usually take a break until my stress is relieved before going back in. It all adds up, and I rarely lose. I called only 1 bad trade in 3 weeks that I had to close at a small loss after trading in a drawdown cycle for 2 days. Overall, 29% return on my investment in 3 weeks.

I would say scalping is better for newbies. It takes years of experience to have the grit and knowledge to be able to hang in there for a long-term trade
