Hello T4Trade,

I would recommend you read it from the top, I know it's a long read but it is worth it

One thing not discussed properly is the Risk Management in terms of lot sizes and how to work out what your lot sizes should be, there is a spreadsheet that mer provided but that doesn't fit within my way of trading, but if you want to know here's how I approach it:

  1. Find your account balance
  2. Find out the percentage you'd want to risk per trade (for me it's 1%)
  3. Find out a stop loss value but don't apply on any of your trades I use this value just to calculate my lot size, I personally use a 100 pip S/L as my value for the calculation

So here's an example

  1. Account Balance: £10,000
  2. Risk Percentage: 1%
  3. Risk per trade: £100
  4. S/L Value: 100 pips
  5. Pip Value: £1.00

You follow? With the Pip Value amount, you can't then divide it by how many entries you want to have e.g. if you're gonna limit yourself to 10 trade entries then that would be £0.10 per trade with no stop loss

Now.. onto the original strategy guidelines

  1. Open the 1-minute chart on the GBP/USD pair (feel free to experiment with others, but this is the pair that mer suggested)
  2. You will only start placing trades after 5 AM GMT (if your time zone is different, just find out what 5 AM GMT would be in your time zone)
  3. If you get red boxes, you will enter a position at the open of the next 1-minute candle, if more boxes appear you will do the same.
  4. When there is an opposite signal (green) you will close all trades at once at the open of the next 1-minute candle (you can use a script for this to assist you)
  5. You don't have to use a stop loss as when all trades are closed as a basket, you should still be in profit

Hope that helps!

Revisiting the original quantum OBOS RSI, Stoch and CCI today from earlier in the thread, found a simple error in the shortname of the CCI indicator, meant it posted on the chart as another RSI. No biggie but corrected it anyway.
was named as Quantum RSI instead of Quantum CCI. Just drop a CCI from metatrader to test it for yourself on your own charts

About trading early signals. In a toilet at a Moscow university, next to a urinal, there was the following slogan:
Товарищ, стой! Оставь науку!
Сосредоточься , тверже руку!
Не торопись как на пожар, прицелься точно в писсуар!
Поверь, что это - не каприз!
Ни капли мимо - наш девиз!

Comrade, stop! Leave science!
Your concentrate, and harder your hands!
Take your time like a wildfire, and aim exactly at the urinal!
Believe that this is not a caprice!
Not a single drop in a miss - is our motto (our principle)!

The main discussion on this topic is how to avoid opening orders early. Large grids require a large deposit.
Excess money does not participate in trading, but insures against depot drain due to early signals.
On your screen, you could hold orders along the trend, ignoring early reversal signals.

Hi, first of all an applause and a special thanks to the programmers who dedicate their time to help those who do not know programming in general.
I would have an EA change request attached:

1: Remove the part about the grid

2: Add a button of the “Manually Close Trade“ function directly on the chart. A "Close All Trades" button appears but does not work ......... ..

3: Create and Add the "Only Long" and "Only Short" function by inserting 2 buttons directly on the chart, without having to go to the EA properties and modify it.

Thanks in advance to those who would like to help me.

P.S. Sorry for my english

Hello, forex comrades-in-arms!
Once again, I am convinced that trading with the trend is comfortable and profitable.
Having open orders to buy, I decided to catch a reversal - this activity resembles hemorrhoids.

Unfortunately, the Quantum London EA - is a reversal catcher (conceptually)...
This EA is a good car, if it learns to trade with the trend it will become great!

Hello, Colleagues!
Sometimes simple solutions bring good profits.
Since H1 is flat, you can scalp on the lower TFS using oscillators.

Hello colleagues!

Indicators are a useful thing, but they will not replace your own vision of the market, but only confirm / prompt.
In addition to the window with indicators, open another one - with a clean chart and look at it with a simple goal:
1. where are the last significant levels of support and resistance from which the price reversed;
2. when you define them - evaluate the momentum with which the price bounced off these levels.
These simple estimates will help you figure out where the price will go.

Someone evaluates the strength of the momentum in ATR, personally I prefer Fibo.
As a rule, the levels of 162% (161.8%), 262%, 362%, etc. are significant.

For example: let's take May 7 with take estimates. To find the nearest local extrema, let's move from M1 to a larger TF - m15.
The closest minimum: April 29 at 17:00.
We put a Fibo (green) on it to highlight the 1-2-3 pattern and get the expected levels to which the price can reach - marked with gray rectangles.
And in order to get more information, let's build a Fibo-channel (blue color) on the 1-2 impulse section. And this is our estimate.
Now you can look at the indicators near these lines - what are they signaling? Whether the forecast is confirmed or not ...

The buy forecast itself will work as long as it stays at the minimum of April 29. For a sell, you need to build your own version.
PS. What pleases: we made a forecast at a price of April 29-30, today is May 13, and the lines continue to work.

If you connect the Fibo lines, Gann lines and the DKU method together, you get fairly accurate entries and achievable takes.
You can add the Quantum indicator to the chart and the oscillator (you tested) in the basement.

For "Kiosotto [mb, gm] _Histo_MTF.ex4" to work correctly, place "Kiosotto 2019v5 [mobidik, gm] a-ms-nrp.ex4" in the Indicators folder.

A mode of automatic forced data update has been added to the indicator.
The function works if the RefreshSec value> 0.

Hello Mate,
1.I trade with Fib Pivot Levels. But sometimes I face problems with early entry. It seems that your chart will be helpful to mitigate this problem. Can you ps. share these indicators so that I can try them?

2. For managing your trade do you use TM or EA?

Thanks.

salimc, good day!
All lines on the chart and trading by hand. It's easier for me to draw the necessary lines myself than to waste time on indicators.
After making a forecast, as a rule, there is time to place a limit order and calmly wait for its execution.

Good day, Salimc!
Probably it was an advisor from this series: slava78.opentraders.ru/54696.html
indi: "AutoFib TradeZones (buff).mq4"

Be careful! Fibo zones expand if price extremes are updated. The reversal orders will be premature and EA will average them. The same disease as Quantum.

PS. To read the parameters, simply delete the Russian comments in the editor or translate them in Google.
