Can someone explain this inexplicable phenomenon:

1. I am using 2 laptops for trading.
2. The same broker (OANDA), MT4 platform.
3. The same settings in the Volume profile on time range indi (as suggested by Wags in the screenshot earlier today).
4. The position of the red line (POC) as shown on the chart on one laptop for AUDUSD is 0.7617, and on the other laptop it is 0.7562.
5. The same happens for GBPUSD and a couple of other pairs that I looked up.

That is weird , I cannot see anything atm as I’m on phone with crappy Moby mt4

there is no explanation for this, nor will it influence your actions

wags, could you please share your new template with how many bars back you use for profile? and also how to change color to show last 3 in red else grey?

For that you only have to set 4 colors into the new heatmap parameter

Daily profile is set to look back 11 days so that gives me 10 completed and the open day, it gives me all the POC's from those previous 10 days, also i get the previous day VAH and VAL as lines in a different colour. My volume profile by time is set to look back 6 days 8640 1 minute bars. I look for retracement to strong S/R zones to enter created from all POC's

You approach has similarities with mine. I plot the VAH,VAL & POC for the COMBINED volume profile of the last 15 days. Same for the last 5 days.

Then I take it to another level where for the last 3 days I break them down into 3 intra-day profiles covering the Asian (overnight) session, the London morning and London afternoon/USA session combined. These allow me to trade intra-day and try and catch the daily swings/trends of the day. Additionally for these session profiles I can combine them into composite views combining all 3 session together to give a daily volume profile (or even combine multiple days together). Then I trade off the POCs (and any other significant levels) in similar fashion to you.

Had to read that twice lol, yes very similar

I like the idea of the long range value high and lows etc, i used to have an indi that showed me all the session profiles and i dont know where it is, im assuming you drop to a lower TF when trading the intraday session POC's

Straight in on EURAUD, bit of a wide opening but Resistance looks very strong and fridays price closed well down on its VA
