Hello traders, I hope everyone made adjustments to our views and have made changes to our expectations accordingly.
For what I can see we have entered into Holiday thin trading and volume or participation of some of the banks and institutions are going to be light.
What that means is that whoever remains in play is going to be able to swing these markets up or down and establish a range but no follow through to either the top or bottom of such range is to be breached in a big way.
Now is the time to scalp and play these ranges. As of now we have a top and this gap down is only an opportunity to get in and wait for the gap to be filled... it will happen.
This is a news driven market for now and to be honest as many will agree a pullback and subsequently a consolidation was in the cards for this pair. It has been running hot for a while now...
The 1.2190 and 1.2270 are the ranges I expect to play within in this range I mentioned and remember that this is only my opinion and you should act accordingly based on your trade plan

Thank you my bears. Didn't expect it but started the week with a bang. I had opened some positions @1.2250 again before the closing and let them go with the TP of 1.2180 and all paid very well.

I saw the opportunity right before closing, but was just a second too late to enter a short.
But now, I've entered 4 long trades on the way down with an average position of 1.221 with a total of 50% of my account in this trade. My TP is +10 pips at 1.222, which should bring me about 2% ROI.
That should be good enough for 1 day. Trade safe.
Opened a 5th long trade at 1.21743, TP 1.22129 = +10 pips x 5 = 2.5% ROI.

I'm waiting to see how H4 closes. If it closes below 1.21774 then I'll consider short to go below last weeks low. If it closes above then I'll look for LONGS to go above last weeks HIGH.

Small short 1.2184 to be increased if it goes higher. TP around 1.216x I don't recognize the current low as final.

DXY is rejected at weekly resistance (90.53), it is likely heading back to weekly pivot(90.07) or even today's pivot around 89.85 to close the gap, only time will tell
