Hi…Welcome to the world of forex! On my beginning of the way, I asked my self the same question. Over the years, I realized that it does not meter which pair you trade, as long as you have a clear trading plan. Look at a chart of the EUR/USD. Now hide the symbol on the corner of the chart. Is your analysis changes? Obviously not, just concentrate on your trading plan and you should be fine. Good luck!
I think every new trader should start trading with EUR/USD. But before start trading, he should learn all the basics of forex.
For beginners, EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, USDCAD are good pairs. A newbie should not choose so many pairs to trade. Every pair has it's own unique characteristics. We need to give attention to a pair if we want to know deeply about them.

I am partial to USD/CAD especially, even though I am far from a newbie at this point. It's an easy to understand pair.
The main technique to become success in the forex market is to sleet a good broker and make a good trading strategy.

Major pair or USD related pairs are good pairs for all kind of trader. There are so much information available in internet regarding those pairs.
I think beginner traders should trade with Major Pairs. I suggest the EUR / USD pair is the best.
Traded eur/gbp Friday cfd but got burned, hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow
Major pairs generally have tighter spreads but I find minor pairs like the AUDNZD and GBPCHF tend to have cleaner trends and are more beginner friendly for trend following strategies.
EUR/USD and USD/CHF can be a good option, since volatility is high. but also be very careful at the same time since you are a beginner, get in with low leverage at first.

I agree, EURUSD is indeed the pair I started with else, one can go for majors. And yeah, without proper knowledge one shouldn't start trading at all.
Concentrating on 1 pair is always better to begin with. Learn all about the economy of the currency that you would be trading. I would suggest starting with EUR/USD like I did with Fxview and etoro which are low cost brokers. EURUSD is the most traded currency pair and hence easier to trade because of increased volatility.
Maybe it's better to choose your strategy before currency pair. A strategy may not work for all currency pairs.
I remember starting my forex trading with EURUSD.
Any major pairs are fine, but once you picked one, stick with it.

I agree. Don't trade with too many pairs at once, especially if you are a newbie.
