Yes John Deere is about as good ad it gets in the Ag market...their product mix is beyond all their competitors, and Ag business is real good now and going forward....what a buy they were at ...around a 100 bucks during the initial Covid scare....look at them today. My son-in-law loaded up on Tesla about that time also at around 240, now after a split 2 for 1 and a price around 370....he should be taking us free on the next cruise (ya like that's going to happen lol lol)i

Great Companies return great results, in this case fundamentals really come into play....great product,great process and production, great strong dealers, and a world that needs to be fed..(using great equipment that is)

I tend to delete my posts if there is no interest in them, and meaning that this thread probably contains the best brains of all the threads and is obviously more interested in FX than Shares, I am very mindful of straying off topic with my dumb ass posts, it was just that I liked your views on Gann as I believe he was a Stock Trader

Gann was first a Commodity Trader. Corn, Cotton, Coffee, Wheat

Gann becomes a Stock Analyst when the Dow Jones took prededence in the speculation world (due to the growth of the economy Steel, Railways, Mining, Coal, Airlines, )

Gann followed the money.

Notice that Gann do not use "Gann Angles " or "Gann Lines (Octaves) in these charts

Hence when Jenkins speaks about his "Secret" Angle IMHO he is wrong.

The real "secret" of Gann is what he did not show to the public ; Angles and Octaves Jenkins and Murrey are just heirs using derivatives of Gann real methodology

Post 2679 showed to reconfigure your fib tool to determine a division of the swing by 8

The next step is to square the time factor by 8 and for that your reconfigure your fib time tab...

go to Insert Tab, then Fib Time, open parameters, fibo levels and add is those missing....4, 6, 7, 9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16.

Now, when you place that on your chart, make sure number 8 corresponds with Level 8 on you octave tool.....as you can see the extention and the height of each Octave are identical....this is a proper grid and it is easy as 123 even with mt4...

ps...yes with Oil falling, and price bouncing off 75 level...decided to take my marbles and wait on the sideline for a bit.

My simple thoughts are
In Gann's day data was limited so being a Commodities Trader he was cute enough to use the weather and season patterns
We now have Satellites that track every movement of a cloud, raindrop, or wind movement
We can now with a fair degree of accuracy predict how much oil in a well before we drill, same with mining industry, even know the crop yields before harvesting
I guess its called Technology
All this data is now available, admittedly some times you have look under a few stones
So in my view and Swede demonstrated it with his knowledge of John Deere, also with tools and techniques learnt from a few good guys, I know which direction and interest my trading is now turning too

I have always admired Warren Buffet...not because he is rich, not because he is friends with Gates and like billionaires, but because of his sense of reasoning. One of his favorite sayings is "buy when the market is fearful, sell when the market is greedy"...He wouldn't be buying airline shares just yet (he just divested all his airlines) because the market for airlines wont change until the covid19 thing is controlled....but would he be a buyer of John Deere...absolutely back at the 100 dollar mark they were a give away because he knows farming and farm equipment (his brother owns a large MF dealership) and he comes from Nebraska, home of mega farming and he knows how to read a spreadsheet., had I not been up to my knees in other investments I would have been a buyer also...and a seller very soon because there will be a pullback to another buy level....the stock market is real greedy right now....just wait for the results of the election, and the fall out of Covid19. That is my up to the minute opinion based on nothing more than years and scars, greed and optimisum..ha ha...

So, once you have your Octaves and fib times in place...you now have a future pattern to watch...and you can set some major trendlines like the 1x1, 4 x 1, etc...

here is the Cable 1 hour since the last swing...if it breaks north you know the area to get long, if it breaks south you have many levels to watch, at the very least you can predetermine potential moves like to the center of gravity(50%) etc.
