IF Anything is going up, AAPL likely will be it, but no, I think there will be a rush to cash in the weeks b4 the election, and AAPL will be trading @ <$100 by 10/30....

I don't think it's possible to lose money betting on rising volatility into the coming Nov04 US election. The only thing that could negate that is a blow-out win for either Trump or Biden, but we are probably guaranteed contested results in multiple states and a wait for concession from either of them for weeks or maybe even months. Equities are going to puke in that atmosphere of uncertainty.

This closed 2X today. MaxP Friday would be over 10x, probably about $7.50 net. I prolly wouldn't want to hold it thru NFP Friday.... Best would be if SPX rallies to 3400 by Wed...

Time spreads are all about the last few days of action (ie, b4 the short leg expiry). Ideally, SPY grinds upward to NFP Friday. If SPY is north of $335 Thursday I'd probably take 1/2 off to avoid risk of a sharp backslide on NFP day. SPY $340 Thursday would be a 10 bagger for the diagonal. Sitting at about 3x at today's close.

HEY man, long time no see.

There are certainly ways to trade options w/o doing any more math than most any other kind of trading. Even if you use the Greeks and start to flex some math skills, it isn't much more than what most people are exposed to in high school...

Cool. Might be getting braver lol. Options trading freaked me a couple too many times and I regretfully didn't get back on the horse. Still got the horse though.

"Covid economy" has been a reengineering exercise (for many in my industry and others) and so I find myself thinking about the next chapter a lot. Who knows, might be a clichéd (and overly tattooed) Chinese character to describe that.
