Thanks for sharing Claudia. Just a little note, the trading start time for your EA (in this particular instance) should be 1:30 onwards. I discovered yesterday that the EA will use the previous day's range until a new range has been formed. Yesterday it worked out in my favour but won't always be the case lol.

Sounds good.

I wonder if Dax would be a good candidate for this. Lem used to use the 6am-8am range at one point (although there was some wick zone magic in those trades too). And I am sure Billy has mentioned the 8am-8:15am range on Dax at some point as well.

Lol I was writing the same. My idea was break of the 6 to 7 bar. Not sure on stops and t/p with Dax and was going to ask Lem when he turns up.

What would interest me more would be any info on how many times it went against you for x-amount of pips, as then you could have the option of running a counter - that auto shut off as it itself went to turn back, say more than 50% of the profit.

There is also the way of running that as an extended ''WZ'' over the period, as I did/do for Frankenbreak-Redux#1, with the H/L as period H/L and WZ L border, the Open or Close of the first candle and the WZ H border the Open or Close of the last candle in the block.

A bit of coding involved and I don't know if it's a bridge too far - but just putting it out there.

Well, that one 50/1 hit will have paid for all the others anyway and that's the joy of big outsider racing bets. You just have to make sure you never miss one, 'coz you know what happens there, lol.

Have you ever read the method ''Tail End Charlies''? Used that a few years agao and was totally gobsmacked that it actually worked. Takes a bit too much legwork on top of my normal methods though and so it kinda' fell by the wayside., though I still pay attention to the principles of it for stand-alone EWs, even subconsciously.

Let me know if you'd like more info on it.

No, no, no!!! I would caution severely against using it your way on that time slot - unless conditions have changed majorly since I ran it. It is simply too volatile, small WZ whips at lightning speed and a head fake that is just large enough to suck you in before it goes completely against you.

It could work if the counter aspect was incorporated - I often found that I simply couldn't act quickly enough to get in and out in time running it manually, no matter how fast a trigger-finger I had!

You won't find it. It comes in book form, probably out of print. I'd need to go check. I can't even remember where I got it from.

This sounds interesting. I am sure if it can be explained with images and logical steps that the coder would understand, it can be coded. I think the wick zone element should not be too hard to code.

Price breaks low of candle, enter short
If TP not hit, and
Price reverses and enters body of last candle, go long

The above part should be fairly easy to code, BUT the tricky part comes after that which is where the EA would fail I think.

If you took the above code, and made it into an endless loop, at some point you will have more shorts than longs or vice versa and if price moves enough, it will hit profit at some point but we might need a lot of margin, depending on how many trades get opened.
