That's very interesting TT, thank you I've always been a fan of The Steve Miller Band, and of Steve himself. I didn't know about the Les Paul connection though. Very cool!! Here is Steve Earle....he seems to be showing some 'wear and tear' since Copperhead road! But this is interesting too..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbuzIP1t-_sIgnored
DislikedAustralian icon Helen Reddy passed away yesterday aged 78. I was in my early teens when she won Bandstand in 1965 (a local "Oz has talent" type show at the time) when she left for the States after that to pursue her career. And became well known later for her song "I Am Woman". Helen Reddy - Angie Baby https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjZy00iHM-8Ignored
Disliked{quote} That's sad news TT. I was never really a fan, but for sure, she made an important contribution to the music world, and simply as a woman activist.
'Angie Baby' was a great song.....I did like that one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOzIBLXfIqMIgnored
Disliked{quote} A good summation in how I saw Helen also. I was a little bit more rock'n'roll n blues lol. I chose Angie Baby as it was a weird song that I couldn't piece together at the time. In the song, at the end some dude sneaks into her room for a bit of 'something, something' (I guess) and Angie uses her radio to minituarise him back into the device for safekeeping lol. Anyway, a good tune.Ignored

Me too.....in those days I was more into Talking Heads, Rolling Stones...and...and...and!!
Angie Baby was controversial and if released today, perhaps it would be even more so.
The line between sanity and insanity is thin indeed....and who draws that line?!?! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pZYU8OGO6QIgnored
Disliked{quote} Reminded me of another non music piece. The delightful Gina Gershon in a terrific comedy bit on Just Shoot Me early 2000's. That show crossed so many politically in-correct lines probably wouldn't get off the ground these days. Gina at her absolute best at the 3:55 to 4:43 time. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xvzx0dIgnored
DislikedAfter a while everything is just ‘history’ (even music that will be created by artists TODAY ) Recorded in ’63 live at the Crawdaddy Club in Surrey, England. Blues harmonica player Sonny Boy Williamson. Backed by The Yardbirds who had only just formed that year by Keith Relf (he started his band in Arts College). Keith’s band originally included an 18yo Eric Clapton, playing guitar here. (Eric left the band right after the release of The Yardbirds hit single For Your Love, stating musical direction differences. Eric had wanted to play...Ignored
