Revision did the job AGAIN!

At first I thought USD is a goner.. 93K is USD bear.. Then I saw at FXCM's chart that GBPUSD is shooting up. So I said, confirmed USD is falling.

But over IBFX/NF , no up move.. and my SHORT at IBFX is triggered! WTF! is IBFX screwing me? My entries at NF were not accepted

A few seconds later, I saw FXCM's chart going down and my straddle exited with a profit.

PHEW... I need a 4th chart (that does not freeze) for confirmation.

i sold gbp/usd 1.9086 at 8:29.50 6 standard lots pushing for 1.8986 profit. sitting pretty.

I go long cable, they hit my stop.
I go short cable, they hit my stop.

-20p today

I will not trade news anymore. It doesn't worth.

Wow, talk about the mother of all revisions! I took your advice BK and put my position last night, but i knew that revisions were going to happen, i mean 51k? Come on! There might be revisions for next months NFP too, 90k isnt that great of a number compared to expected of 130k.

I had to see how everyone was doing. My T/A told me to long the USD a day ago with a wide stop. I watched it move sideways for the last 24 hours then POW the NFP comes out and I'm up 240 pips across 4 pairs. Facinating...

Well that was fun ....what's next. netted 59 pips on the GBP short luckily my broker's train didn't stop to pick me up at my PL. scored a few extra pips. Who said brokers were all bad.

Nice NFP revision last month to 148K and plus 92K this month
Short gbp/usd 1.9028, tp 1.8955 (support)

Probably not. Many of the better signal services trade techs like we should be doing and most others here at Newbie Factory.

Let the Banks worry about ----

Fundamentals/Options/Revisions/Elections/Wars/Etc.......

Next Month? Dont bet on it. Election will be over and no need to revise any numbers to show face.

No kate, Im not referring to "TA based signals" but those "data based signals" like kingforexsignals.... all they do is compare actual vs estiamte and pump the "BUY / SELL" signals to their customers... Revisions is very difficult to factor into these...

I wonder which news service gives the fastest revisions? Last months tradethenews didnt give revisions for non-farms for quite some time after the report. Maybe reuters or bloomberg gives realtime numbers of non-farms and revisions. If that is so, then all the little people trading news is going to have it hard by not dishing out 2-3k a month for reliable news service which can be able to beat the spike (everyones dream!) and dictate the trend after revisions.

added em up i made 52 pips total I LOVE NON FARM, 60 pip loss on the GBP from a trade i exited today because of wrong order type from sunday but the 30 pip GBP trade today x4 lots made up for it hey Burger I want to really tell u how much i appreciate your historical charts and the anicdotes u put in there as well
. U are awesome, btw how does everyone else trade the Non Farm, i wait for the 2nd wave
