Yes I think it's very unfortunate for SKlearn but I'm sure that the new rule has a legitimate legal reason. At least they will refund him his money.

I have also picked this up from Forextips website:

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis

But I will defintely check with Forextips tomorrow to see if they have the same rule - that will clear things up I think.

I think guy should have still been paid then close the account. They agreed to take him in the first place. However, at least he is getting a refund.

Keep letting us know of any drama. This is the purpose of the thread. Don't like the drama? Then close your FF account. Welcome to FF drama factory lol.

I hope I dont get hit with the inconsistency rule too as my lot size varies based on sl. But I told them about this before I start. We will find out in a week.

{quote} Totally true mate. I have to agree with that. I will try to find out the exact why certain states have been blocked. If Myff are doing it then surely Forextips will have to follow IF this is in fact a regulatory issue. It's quite possible that some states have picked up on this whole business as a way of getting round the 50:1 max leverage law
Ignored
If it's only about the 50:1 max leverage all prop firms would get hit including FTMO. Also, they can simply comply by adding 50:1 rule compliant brokers for residents residing on those state.

Well I received am email from Myff containing their response to SKlearn. It's quite a long response! Apparently they did not know he was living in those states when he signed up. The fact that this whole problem occured at exactly the time that they owed him a pay-out is not great!

Part of it reads:

"My Forex Funds did NOT know about Mr. KSK’s residence or where he is from. It was unfortunate that he was a residence of one of four States that we couldn’t continue business with.We only found out after we emailed him, looking for further information to pay his payout. We will never “scam” any one of our traders. That is a promise. Most of our traders have already received their payouts. Other’s will do in coming days.We provide one of the best customer service and programs out there. We have over 4 dedicated resources working F/T to ensure all of our trader’s inquiries are being answered in timely fashion. We have a great member’s area being done. We are deploying VPS to ensure all of our traders can have up to minute stats and alerts. We believe in what we are doing and continue to do so as we push to become a dominant name in near future

We have paid 4 figure payouts in past and will continue to do so as long as no rules are violated on one’s account. We have posted proofs and will continue to do so"

When you sign up and pay via credit card. You have to tell your location. Right there and then, he should have been denied.

Whatever it is, I think it's their mistake for taking him. And he should still get paid.

I tend to agree. Of course he might have used Paypal. They have now added a box that you have to tick stating that you don't live in one of those four states.

State / County (optional)
Phone *
Email address *
By checking this box, you confirm that you are NOT from the following States in USA: AR ,IA ,MS and MO *

Hi guys

Just got an email from Fidelcrest - this is unverified I presume. Of course the guys hasn't been paid out a bean yet!

"Jack of all trades, master of none."

This figure of speech holds true for Traders as well. Most Retail Traders blow account after account by spreading themselves too thin and trying to trade more than 5 pairs at a time.

Trader Jan N. from Czech Republic has mastered trading DAX. He recently completed 2 additional Challenge Verifications bringing his total to 3 Passed Challenges. All 3 Challenges have been passed by only trading DAX. Congrats! (Account Metrix below)

  1. $50K Aggressive
  2. $50K Aggressive
  3. $100K Aggressive"

{quote} there is lot of unanswered questions. if they call that as payout email, why it is coming from a Legal Consultant. why that so called legal consultant has no proper signature is there a legal consultant or the same guy sending emails from different accounts. why customer support team responds because that legal consultant email is not working. why I never got direct reply from the legal; all the responses coming from customer support. why MFF says in their website no documents needed in their payout process section. Hi SKlearn

I have to say that the timing does look dubious. If I was in your shoes I would also be feeling pretty upset. A lot of stress and hard work for two weeks only to be told that you're not getting a bean! That is not good at all for a new company that's trying to build some sort of reputation.

On the flip side I really do think that you should have talked to us before opening a $500k account with an untested outfit! I for one would have advised you to start small and test the waters just as Maflip and others have done. You would have avoided a whole lot of stress.

The last time I saw you on the boards you were posting on the FTMO thread and telling us how much you loved FTMO and slating and ignoring anyone who dared to say anything negative about FTMO. Next thing you pop up with this story and we learn that you jumped in head first with a huge $500k account with Myff. Quite amazing!

{quote} I ignored people I was busy optimizing my portfolio to include prop firms; their feedback was distracting at that time. Once I finished drafting the plan, I stopped ignoring them. FTMO, BluFx are both good and I have no negatives. Whenever I had questions I clarified with them over emails. I tested almost all prop firms by buying big accounts and selected few to continue. Some refunded the fees; some cheated me. MFF big fund, (actually, 1 million which I planned to purchase 2 more 250K accounts last Friday, dropped that plan after this issue,...

Listen mate just ignore me OK? AS you did before. That will suit me fine!

You posted this whole story so obviously you opened yourself up to to some criticism.

Now you tell everyone that you're the big spender and you're quite happy to lose the money in order to find the perfect Prop company! Well I have news for you mate, you will NEVER find the perfect prop company. I presume that you probably got upset with someone in the FTMO outfit which is why you ended up opening an account with MYff - LOL!!!

Seems that you have a lot of money to blow - good luck to you. My suggestion is that you do NOT post on this thread anymore. As it's my thread any further posts from you will be deleted.

GOOD BYE and good riddance
