Hi beefStew. Just my view. Better traders here may have different idea on that.
I don't know if I would treat that as signal. Less than 1pip eng is often not eng with another broker. But anyway your green box is that LS kink and I would look for a "tricks" inside it.

From my understanding, engulf of the kink would mean price would get to the bottom of LFL, engulf of the LFL would mean price would get to the origin. please correct me if im wrong?

I trade both types... see todays GU chart... it shows both types. Entry with its first targets marked with same colour... Hope it helps

- on the second short opp, would you fine tune the red FL? taking the whole FL will reduce the RR greatly, so if you fine tune it can you show me how?
- would you TT or wait for confirmation? i think i wouldnt get the chance to enter with confirmation because it just spiked and reverse without retrace.

without hindsight, i would have waited at the lowest red FL for confirmation entry.

oops sorry i missed your reply mate,

thanks for clarifying. looks like you pick zones with most confluence? and yes there is an trick FOing the last high, which also made an engulf down as confirmation for the entry. dont think i would notice it without hindsight though. and not every time there is a trick inside the FL, at least from what i am aware of..

thanks for replying. We have Flag limit or Kink when it engulfed something left( RS or opposite Flag limit) So my question is on the screenshort

Copis explained nicely most of it... Here is my view and how I think about price and all regarding this business... I am no master here nor can I read "fluently" the chart. I still make a lot of mistakes mostly coming from impatience and not believing in my analysis, but it gets better with time... We all are learning here and most importantly... we all are looking for our ways that suit us and our personality.

Those trades I marked are obviously marked in hindsight and I did not take them. I learn from them... I need to trade a TF where I can go to one or two lower TFs for exact entries (or to see if there was or wasn`t real engulf) and since I do not have a tick chart (and it would not suit me neither since it is too fast for me) I don`t usually take trades from watching 1min chart...

EDIT: and to your question that you see only a RBR engulfed... show me, how does a 1hr RBR look like on 5 min chart...

And as for my SL placing... I am usually more aggresive and look for smaller zone, even though I can get stopped our more often. But I prefer higher RRR. That is why I am trying to look to lower TF for exact places to enter the trade..
