thank you, it is a tough spot we are in coz we're basically going nowhere so the market has latitude to do some back and forth acrobatics ... the more i delve into gann the more i see it perfectly explains the movements so it is going nowhere but in the most interesting patterns

GBPUSD Recap

Post #7786 short stopped out / #7806 short stopped out / #7865 short stopped out

3 trades that started out in the green but went red due to me believing a bigger W4 was very imminent. I was wrong in my assessment.

I Licked my wounds and will start fresh for next week. Kudos to those that went long on GU.

The 3-day rule is in effect, GU has closed above the trend line for 3 days in a row. I'm now bullish possible target is 1.3514 12-13-19 high. I will study my charts

and will be buying pullback next week with tighter stops just in case its a head fake.

GBPUSD 8/30-9/4/2020 Forecast

COT - Report

Very interesting to see Comm still unwinding but with a little buying, and now Large spec kind of flat. Maybe they are waiting to see if we would close above the trendline.

Price action this week should tell us if the bulls mean business. Could maybe see a little retrace but if the bulls are in control they should not retrace big.

I do have a few concerns in this time period but I will explain in another post.

Just wanted to show where the players are lining up

early this week euro likely more highs to 11948, cable not interesting to me ie more highs less likely at least early in the week

Next week we should get a better clue on what large spec is betting on GU. Highlights of the week, we broke a major trendline that could bring my buyers.

GBPUSD

Measured moves retracements from the past. It Could be very tricky here. I would not buy at the high now, but would rather wait for a pullback to get in.

Some are assuming a retracement before getting in long caused maybe they missed the move, or now that the trendline is broken.

These are retracements starting from 3.20.20. with possible turning points.

Don't know if pounds is going to follow it to a tee but good to have on your radar if it goes deep. If it's a very strong bullish sentiment, it could retrace a little not as deep and then ripe higher. It will come down to price action this week.

GBPUSD Square outs for Aug/Sept

Square out dates to keep on your radar

3/20/2020 swing low = trading day square out 8/31/2020. This one is very interesting for a trading day count, especially from that swing low

4/30/2020 swing high = calendar days square out 9/3/2020. I think this one is important also cause it brought a big retrace that could play out on the above graph into 9/15,16

3/9/2020 impulse high = trading day square out 9/15/2020. It may not be that important but good to keep an eye since we have retracements that match the square out from the past. strong vibrations as I call it.

5/18/2020 swing low = calendar days square out 9/16/2020. also, another good one to watch, also matching a perfect geometry to past retracements.

It may work or may not work but this was the stuff Gann was watching for using the square out technique both for calendar and trading days.

GBPUSD seasonal model 1 forecast 8/31-9/4/2020

Forecast with a bullish sentiment into Sept with a small pullback.

Keeping in mind there is a massive trend line in red line with resistance level in green. so those are my targets and the 12-13-2020 high of 1.3513

Dates for pullback swing low 9-3,4 a minimum. Dates for the swing top 9-18 / 9-21

GBPUSD

Sept with cleaned data is showing a small bearish sentiment. With the non-cleaned data, it is showing bearish at all 4 levels.

On my other model 1 (pic above) is showing a bullish Sept. So models are mixed

Natural cycles with cleaned data is showing a dip into the first week then end on a high between 3rd or 4th week of Sept

The non-cleaned data is showing the same thing with only a dip on the first week 9-3ish then a pop to make a swing high on the 3rd week of Sept.

All this to say it should be an interesting Month
