Total Newbie, Rookie here. Just learning about Gann Theory. On radio today a trader, using the Gann Model, said that there will be "7 out of 7 cycles converging on August 19 that indicates an end of the current cycle" up in the Dow. The only other times that 7 out of 7 cycles converged were 2 times: "August 30, 1929 (beginning of the stock market crash) and October 19, 1987 (Black Monday)

Obviously, I can't learn this theory in the next two days but can you help in letting me know if this man's research is valid and if there is the possibility of the beginning of a sell-off is all asset classes?

GBPUSD 8/16-21/2020 Forecast

There are a few things that are jumping out at me this week.

8-17-20 = 3600hrs from 3/20/2020 low

4-14-20 high Sq in days = 8-18-2020

3-20-20 low = 180D = 8-17-20

Monday, Tuesday are hot days to watch for some kind of move either to the upside or downside.

W3 could be in as of 8-6-20, but if the pound was to flush higher one last time it could be on Monday or Tuesday then turn down to create a W4

Now that it has been breached and we know how important it has been in the past. The three-day rule applies, I won't go long until it has closed for three days above the trendline.

might be just as well upside is limited, no trades for me while euro powers higher, 120 seems a given now but will be another day or two, once it hits downside looks juicy ... for me chart is bearish to year end
