I remember him using an external toolbar that he was testing out, since the maker asked for his opinion. What i can't remember is if he also made a reference to the maker's website where we would've been able to buy it. Maybe that's the reason?

I think Mr. Pip has thrown the towel in. I would too if FF Admin disrespected 2483 pages of hard work without putting a foot wrong.

I blew the dust off Ninjatrader today and jumped back into demo trading after a work/life-related hiatus. Maybe a chart post will spur on the thread. Maybe not.

I traded with volume bars today instead of a tick chart. A short look back showed the volume bars seemingly making clearer rotation/decision candles. Anybody else tried these?

3 trades = +22, +4, -67 (failed rescue mission) = -41

Gave back all I made on the last trade but it was fun stretching my legs again.

One trade with 2 contracts on MYM today for +131. Took some early profit because stupid price always seems to turn on me on these bigger trades. Not today, though. It's still going up. Oh well...I'm happy with it.

I'm liking these volume charts.

I used to trade with volume bars. Made more sense back in the days. CME breaks down large trades to match them according to the opposing resting orders so the "ticks" aren't an accurate representation of strong selling/buying... not that volume bars are IMO, but that's beside the point. With volume bars at least you know that for example 500 contracts moved price by that much with tick bars neither the ticks are an accurate representation of the real trades nor the volume is equal in each bar so what are you left with? I personally have no clue

I watched both tick and volume bars today looking for differences in decision candles that would affect my trades. Here is an interesting comparison where a big fat candle shows on the volume bar but not on the tick bar. Make of it what you will. I'm going to continue watching them but this has me leaning back towards tick bars.

I'll just say one thing. A "strong" candle in one direction on a volume/tick chart doesn't mean anything when you have no idea if it happened because of lack of resting orders to stop it, or actual sellers/buyers that pushed through liquidity, or there was strong absorption in that candle etc. I know this is stuff beyond Damian's thread but i think it shouldn't be overlooked.

What’s up X3m, long time.....

Aziz when I was using Damian‘s trailing rules I settled on 144T because of the trailing and not necessarily the entry so that’s something to pay attention to as well.

Not much. Trading by my own rules with orderflow and volume profile.
