DislikedHi Deanyakobs I thought I better clear this up as you noted the market is a Single Wave Fixed Frequency with a variable Amplitude. We need to include the actions of the Algo to complete the picture. The last important component is the Variable Amplitude which refers to the size of expansion for each pair - which varies {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Rick, Your text and image do not coincide. Your are illustrating FREQUENCY modulation but speaking of AMPLITUDE modulation. These should be familiar to everyone as FM and AM radio broadcasts. Amplitude is the peak-to-trough distance. Y-axis in your images. It is constant in all images. Frequency is the number of times a "unit" occurs in a time interval. X-axis in your images. For your images, it may be more convenient to speak of the PERIOD, which is the inverse of the frequency. So the period is the time interval between "units". In the...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi DrDave You may have describe my chart better than me so thanks for the input. My point is the amplitude is fixed for each pair, the period / frequency then becomes like you said non-constant periods. Once we know the specs. of the period / frequency, its easy to then calculate the amplitude expansion data from which we can trade with. I use this data to trade the London session every day. Cheers RickIgnored

Disliked{quote} But for this I have a question. "My point is the amplitude is fixed for each pair," I do not see how amplitude (which is the price) can be fixed when clearly price swings are not of constant amplitude. Perhaps you mean to say that for each pair, there is a unique frequency pattern of expansions/contractions, and because these expansions/contractions determine the price amplitude, then the price behavior is likewise unique to each pair?Ignored
