If more than 65% traders went long then prepare yourself to go short and be one of the first winners!

Preparing yourself to go short wouldn't make any money- actually going short might.
What would you use as an entrance trigger?

You go long if your system says so, not because others are going short.

Actually, bankers do this way in a systematic way. Most traders lose but they win. If I go with them I will win with them as well. I tried it many times it works perfect.

Would timing not be of essence, and also a way to identify what "most" traders are doing?

Here's an indicator that works pretty well.
It shows the percentage of Buy vs Sell positions held by traders. Just put on a chart of each pair you are interested in.
It takes a few minutes for it to populate the first time then it updates every few seconds.

Thank you billbss. Although the indicator is an .ex4 , I'm assuming that it is used to show the contrast in tick density between upticks/downticks. However it would raise a few questions of mine, specifically being

1) On what interval would this be acceptable? As in, is this a record of the proportion of ticks from the inception of loading the indicator, or for the manually set "Tick Limit" count interval? If so,then it would be a great tick-determinate gauge of market sentiment during that time.

2) I get the gist from OP that he means "65% of traders" in a very broad manner, meaning the collective mindset of traders that have placed their trade, and will in the future, therefore constituting the bulk of us "retail" traders who are said to lose money overwhelmingly. Therefore, I don't think such an indicator would be able to measure such a broad sentiment. I could of course be mistaking OP.

I don't know that much about t. I've only had it for a few days. I've been looking for 70% Buy or Sell and then trading the opposite direction. It seems to work.

Hi all

Beyond this market there are Policy, Big shots, Intelligence and Foolish traders, Brokers and News, although "How can you find out 65% of traders?" Do you you know the number of traders who trade?
It's better be more wise and say something be logical not funny
I don't know how the managers of Forex Factory let these kind of threads be issued

Okay, I was a way for a while.
Everything needs some patience to learn and I wish that no one be upset or decrease from the importance of any member's analysis or opinion.
First, I don't mean exactly 65% but I just meant a percentage that is over 50%.
Second, I will give my thought and I could be wrong, but one friend told me that recently and I found it works well. Also, I read the same theory in another famous forex website and they teach this in sessions.
Third, practically as an example go to dailyfx.com or any other professional website. From there pick up any chart and look for the percentage. Let's take the EUR/USD at this time, what is the percentage ? 62% short but what is the outlook? is it bearish or bullish? it is bullish!
The 62% short is the short term traders or daily traders only or this view could have only few hours and ready to change at any time, but the bullish is the long term view and that is the professionals and banks look at it.
What banks do is they start sell a specific currency at the beginning and traders see the trend is downward and volume up and they continue the selling and the numbers of sellers increased and at this time the banks and professionals do the opposite and buy the currency with quantity that absorb the most the stop loses for buyers at the cheapest price could reach based on the news and technical indicators then hold it, and later another buyers continue the buying process and the price started to increase and increase. Here the same banks and professionals sell their positions at profit and so they repeat this again and again.
I hope this strategy being clearer or give some hint for others.

It's a good principle. But there's no strategy here. You need to know what you are looking for, how to get it and when you are entering the market.
