Somewhat similar to the example in the book, except this was a converging triangle(book was ascending), even had the fakeout on the bottom side of it.

Real time I was able to trade both 5 wave moves in pink(short), and a long near that yellow #1(it was a 5 wave down on an M1 chart).

Real time, I didn't notice the triangle, as I woke up right near the end of it. But added the triangle to the old memory bank for future use.

As its a triangle, Point 4(green) breaking point 1 is ok.

Also, showing this move on the H4 chart, where you see this is the fifth wave, with potential targets at that 38 and 61%(based on fibs), with a herd zone right above.

i suggest IF u want to continue using fibs ,,,, throw the 875 / 125 level on ur fibs for ur deep retracements .
BUT as a suggestion from my humble but deep experience with fibs Retracements do NOT as work as effective as extensions on fibs ,,, yes i do mean when measuring reversals ,, they usually have swings in the reversals ,, so use EXTENSIONS on measuring the reversal size from the swings within the reversal moves .

Another point i want to bring to the table If i may ,,,
There are time when one MUST use INVERTED fibs for extension measurement and NOT forward fibs ,, it is all based on the length of the swings of inverted compared to forward swings ,,, something very hard to explain in typing .
I ONLY did more than 10,000 hours to master the use of fibs ,, thats the base of me knowledge and experience of using it ,, testing charts day by day for months and months back on the 15 mnt charts .

Hey All,

Been a long time lurker of this thread, and has helped definitely shape and change my way of thinking about the markets. Thanks to George for the time and dedication he has given to this project. I felt like I knew nothing about how charts moved and things slowly feel like they are coming into place now.

Watching the GJ move today, and came out with a few pips on a small retracement without looking at the bigger picture / didn't analyse the bigger picture well enough, but a post analysis suggests the following wave structure on the 5MIN (for today's Asian / London session) which leads to a resumption to targets above on the H4 chart.

Keen to hear people's thoughts on, whether my analysis is sound. It seems to make sense in my head and it's a move I've been planning for since the beginning of the week.

One thing I'm still trying to learn is to trade the higher time frames (M15,H1 etc), I seem to get stuck around the M1 chart (too antsy!)

Just wondering why after a 1-2-3-4-5 you did not mark A-B-C correction.

Good point, are we talking about the orange H4 wave? It just didn't occur to me that it could be a correction, but now upon reflection that makes a lot of sense, it makes for an easy A-B-C zig zag pattern and then the ensuing impulse makes sense too.

It also fits into the bigger Wave cycle...

What I have found often is that ,,,
we get a very small wave one ,,,
a very extended wave 3 ,,,
then wave 5 ,,,,

Trying to measure the expansion of wave 3 is almost impossible based on the size of wave 1 ,,,, BUT ,,,
With all of the many hints and examples I have been demonstrating ,,
I have found the SECRET as to what is applied ,, TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME ,,,,
For those situations ,,, hence giving me an accurate expansion ratios ,,,

SO I always rely on my expansions numbers to evaluate what I am dealing with ,,,
I NEVER dictate what ,, the market should give me an ABC or anything else for that matter ,,,

I BELIEVE THAT ,,,
THE WAVE CYCLES USED IN THE MARKET ,,,
ARE NOT APPLIED AS PER THE KNOWN NORM ,, IN THE TEXTBOOKS ,,
SOMETHING THAT IS DONE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS ! ! ! !

Hope this will open up ideas for many ,,,
Sorry ,,, But ,,, due the same reason of what I just mentioned above ,,,
I DO NOT SHARE MY WORK PUBLICLY ! ! !

Here is a perfect example of what I was talking about in the above post ,,,,

The market went just over my target ,,, simply because ,,,
There was a MAJOR TARGET on the left that ,,
HAD TO BE CLEANED OUT ! ! !

Very acceptable and expected action ,,,
