Keeping position small so I can swing it easily and sleep well at night Weekend hold is no problem on this too. Yeah the DAX is a big contract, definitely can clean out the account quickly if not careful....
ES is hitting a ceiling on daily , more sideway,s false breaks, stop hunts expected.

It reminds me July 2014, World Cup in Brazil, when Brazilians lost 7-1 against Germany in semi final!

Almost 5 weeks in a row of consolidation and then in less than 5 days DAX and worldwide markets went fown 10%. We'll see...

Well I'm reading Market Mind Games right now by Denise Shull. I have time now to do more research and other fun activities that are important!

I've traded a lot less lately, slow like a turtle crawling. And having extra time in every trade, up to 3-4 days in a trade means I have a good probability of coming out ahead. More time to do things since I am less-glued to the screen. So nice, I have to say. This is a long lesson in becoming more patient. Learning to trade a little smaller and be much more patient with a position. It's less stress knowing I don't need to be flat by end of day.
In this general area on the DOW I am almost feeling apathetic??? like there's not much for me to do and I shouldn't even trade right now at all.

I see activity in Call options for DOW, around 27,100 for weekly expiration this week. Still smelling bullish to me. No clue on the put to call ratio but I bet it's been turning bullish. We are near another stimulus package being approved in the USA. And I hear the EU approved a package last night or something?
Chime in on EU zone politics if you have a good summary of the politics! Much appreciated!

1. I don't know anything about the Denise Shull book, but I know for sure that Mind Games and the Art of Waiting are 2 keypoints on my daily battle here!
In the end we are all alone in this job with only our mind. Often my mind is not so patient as I wish, often is starting to play and fly away with hypotetical futuristic thoughts that never will be realized and so on...all of us know these things, I guess.

3. Yes, I'm bullish too, but since yd I started to gain something with some shorts......prices sometimes seem so stretched and disconnected from real economy, but this is an old story well known.....

Anywhere after the middle he explains how to catigorize trades in 4 different kinds.

It is easy done and helps quickly mirror my trades.

Point 4 is most tricky: Winning trades without rules.. those lead us to contradict our tradeplan.

How are you guys doing!? Surviving hopefully. RMG you are hilarious, I loved that last post/meme lol.
I have reduced my expectations on how rapidly I want to grow my trading business. Protecting profit while the economy/market picks a SOLID trending direction. +$400 today so that helps massively.

I have been swinging positions it's way more enjoyable and less stress overall. Still working on being more patient, in order to find the best areas to trade. Even swinging a few contracts I need my entries at the best spot (trying to find areas where stops are getting flushed out etc).

It's been an interesting week with tech giants under the microscope for possible antitrust violations and yet they are making record earnings and pushing up/carrying indexes up. Virus surge here in the USA isn't good and therefore we should be cautious with leverage.
I'm telling myself to slow down when my portfolio is up 10% in 3 weeks, because I hate giving it back!



as of right now we are hovering at the weekly low. I gave in to scalping a long, it was too good to pass up!

All is well mate, hardly visits this forum enough said nothing more to ramble.
Denise shull made a big change in my trading psychology. Made changes to my approach and
created a rule based systematic trading plan and testing with my friend, so far so good.

Change is good.
When market slows down and goes sideways, I go silent and relax more LOL.

I still need to finish "Market Mind Games"... I read books in a bizarre way. I jump around thru the chapters.
Learning never stops and that's what makes life amazing and worth living for (other than family).

Right at this moment, BULLS are trying to push forward still, and I think they might have more ammunition, but most of the move happened overnight so I am staying small on my longs right now at the moment.

Lately I have been tracking block trades and divergences.
Learning more about the coding of how iceberg detection works and if it's even important to my style. But what I learned is that synthetic icebergs placed on TT platform are nearly undetectable. It is only native icebergs that are visible, and the pros do not want us to see their icebergs so they go synthetic via TT (held on servers co-located at exchange usually).

The rabbit hole goes deeper, way deeper than we sometimes understand.

Here's what I see for my iceberg tracker. Also screenshot of block trades and finally PnL from last night, pulled $600 out which is big money for me and now I can slow down and plan my next move.

And I also use a delta tick divergence which I didn't post, where you'll get an uptick with big market selling volume or vice versa. Which is interesting because you'll get this alert sometimes at the beginning of a move, reversal, or continuation. But it's not so simple as a binary IF/Then or 1-rule system. I've seen sellers try to hold back rallies like on Friday, and they failed to hold it back and price rockets thru the selling. So sometimes I fade the signal.

When I watch order flow I just ask myself, who's absorbing via limit orders and who might run out of ammunition first? The battle is lost for whichever side runs out of market orders! Definitely a game of "speculation"

Rally non-stop mate wow!

Nothing can stop this train. Last week was fantastic, but it will be better once I move over to my newer broker with the cheap commissions.
It's less stress to trade this way for me. I'm not going to push it hard, I'm on vacation right now and want to enjoy this.

I have a filter set for a counter that counts buy/sell transactions of 20+ contracts. last week that count was mostly favoring longs.
Now the amount of buy/sells is almost equal. So I fully expect a pullback from today's high which is still being discovered at the moment.
3,291 sells vs 3,298 buys (of blocks of 20+ cars)... I'm calling this my bias meter, and it has a huge amount of wiggle room for swinging. If bias is green, I'm waiting for a common sense pullback to a bigger support.

I will buy a nice dip or pullback. If we continue to trade higher than this, I will stay SMALL due to the fact that sellers and market makers are already starting to absorb at this level 27,700. And I hate chasing or getting caught on a 300 pt swing low.

Being careful at this level with longs to avoid getting carried away with being overly bullish lol. This market is a bit insane and emotional
I wouldn't be shocked to see the market rally into the elections in the USA and rally to about 30k and then depending on outcome of election, continue to build a bubble or pull back big.

Burnt my 4th ftmo challenge today.
Still got Earn2trade mini gauntlet is going well ,took few trades of ES and MYM closed all at green today.
Stay small and less is more (to self, lol).
