{quote} Nice! I think I meant to ask, how did you end up with 195 bars for 7.) ?
Ignored
In the calculations 1.) to 5.) I established quite a large range for the ratio between 1.61 and 1.76. The mode value should be around 1.67.

When I did the estimates 6.) and 7.) I used 1.64. Basically I fit the number of bars for the second [i.e. future] period so that I get the ratio established previously.

It would have been better if the ratio used was 1.67. Having made the post I recalculated with 1.67 but the changes were so minor that I decided to leave the original post as it was.

A little gift so that I can repay some part of my debt towards the community.

I day trade so it is very important for me to know how the astrological influences change during the day. I found something really simple that gives some good trading signals. In astrology those are known as Planetary Day Hours. They are acknowledged first by the Babylonians so it is a proven technology

The idea is that every hour starting from sunrise is ruled by a different planet and the trade action during that hour is influenced by the ruling planet. The first hour of the day is always ruled by the ruler of the day of the week.

Have a look at the chart below:

To give you an example how the hours are calculated let's calculate them for today.

In my city today the Sun rises at 5:41 am [GMT+3]. Today is Monday, ruled by the Moon so the first hour [from 5:41 am to 6:41 am] is ruled by the Moon too. The second hour [from 6:41 am to 7:41 am] is ruled by Saturn... You get the idea

For easier calculation of the planetary hours you can use the attached Excel file.

How do I use the planetary hours? I trade reversals aiming for profit or loss of 24 basis points (0.24%). I have noticed that 80% of those day reversals happen in the hour of the Sun.

A typical scenario goes like this:
1. [In the hour of Saturn] Saturn (the Destroyer) reverses a previous trend or starts a new one from a congestion area.
2. [In the hour of Jupiter] Jupiter (the Expander) drives that trend to a greater extend.
3. [In the hour of Mars] Mars (the Fighter) gives that trend a further boost. Sometimes you can notice exhaustion of the trend in the latter part of the hour of Mars.
4. [In the hour of the Sun] the Sun can make a one or two 15 min bars in the direction of the trend but generally in most cases the trend is reversed by the end of that hour.

If you live outside of Europe you might need to adapt the above scenario with a different sequence of planets that would fit your time zone but generally you still have to have a planet starting the trend, two planets that expand that trend and a planet that in most cases reverses the trend.

Have fun trading!!!

This is invaluable stuff! thanks for sharing. Is there a book where this info is stored? One which explains other characteristics of the other rulers. Doesn't have to be a book.

I think this explains it "The idea is that every hour starting from sunrise is ruled by a different planet and the trade action during that hour is influenced by the ruling planet. The first hour of the day is always ruled by the ruler of the day of the week."

If i understand this correctly, If the sunrises at 5:13am your time, the first how (5:13 - 6:13) is ruled by the ruler of the week. Today is Lundi so the moon rules. I stand corrected but that's what i understood from his post.

there's an app called time nomad for iphone. I suggest you check it out. You can make it notify you of each planetary hour.

Here are a few tips for the nature of the planets:
1. For Saturn, Jupiter and Mars you can use the epithets above.

Mars is also the god of war, so he makes a violent but somewhat superficial damage.

Saturn destroys the very structure so he is much more destructive but usually needs more time.

Jupiter is the planet of divine knowledge and brings luck and happiness. In trading he usually expands greatly any trend, most often out of proportion, and that expansion is swiftly followed by a price reversal.

2. Moon - the planet of motherhood and growth. It has a tendency to "nurture" and to grow the price but does that in a motherly and feminine way. Also the Moon is moody and price can change its direction for "no" reason

3. Sun is considered a good planet in the Western world and malefic (being a "burning" planet) in India. That's why I got so many reversals during its hour. The Sun also rules the sign of Leo and if you have a Leo friend you know they earn lots of money but love to spend even more...

4. Venus is the goddess of love. She is a lady, very reasonable and gentle. You won't see lots of big moves in her hour but when you do get a move there is a very good reason for it. She tries to bring the price back to its "true" level.

5. Mercury is the messenger of the gods, also patron of the trade and business. I call him the "up and down planet" because he likes those zigzag moves.

Wherever you live, the first hour starting at exact time of the sunrise in your location today is ruled by the Moon. Tomorrow the first hour after sunrise will be ruled by Mars... It doesn't matter where you live, you just have to google something like "[your city] sunrise time today" and you gonna get the sunrise time. If you put that time in the Excel spreadsheet you gonna know all the hours for the day.

So you got the pattern correctly

In MT4 there is a tool called Fibonacci time zones which you can setup with 1.67 and it will calculate everything for you, your method is giving the same time (10/07/20) for these 2 tops:

What is important is to use the time zone and location of the data source that draws the bars on the chart. I use MT4 with a server time of UTC+3, and Moscow as the location. Sunrise today was 3:57 am in Moscow.

This is numerology disguised. It's interesting but this isn't really about different planets influencing the market. The sun will produce this number serie during the five trading days:

4,11,18,25,32,39,46,54,61,68,75,82,89,96,103,110,117

Does your program allow frequency demodulation? The highs/lows are not coming in a fixed frequency. That would be far too easy. To me it looks like the frequency is modulated somehow. That would be cool to find out... (if I just had more time)
