Happy Birthday to the late Larry Taylor, bassist with American rock band Canned Heat. Two of their songs 'Going Up the Country' and 'On the Road Again' became international hits. He died on 19 August 2019 age 77.

This name is not well known, but he had an important impact on music. Happy Birthday to Richard McCarken, bassist from Irish rock and blues band Taste who had the 1970 UK No.18 album 'On The Boards'. Its founder was songwriter and musician Rory Gallagher.

And a Happy Birthday to Mick Jones, guitarist, singer with The Clash, who had the 1979 UK No. 11 single London Calling and the 1982 US No. 8 single 'Rock The Casbah. Their 1991 UK No.1 single 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go', was first released 1982. And with Big Audio Dynamite had the 1986 UK No.11 single 'e=mc2'. Jones plays with Carbon/Silicon and also toured the world as part of the Gorillaz live band.

Now I'm very touched.
Following the Piazzola Tango, I think that this is probably the best version I have ever heard of this Tarrega's famous piece...
and I know it note by note, pause by pause!

I am very attached to this piece of Bach. It is the highest level of difficulty that I have achieved in my study of the instrument.
It was my last exam, unfortunately.
I'm really happy. Stephanie reads it exactly as I did. Same intention, same exact expression: note by note.
Speed and rhythm. Exactly like that.
But I didn't have her "resistance" and her "embellishments"

If only people understood how incredibly hard it is to play classical guitar properly, and how incredibly well Stephanie does it.

Last birthday wishes before the weekend....in fact my weekend already started as I closed the trading for the week and opened the beer and turned on the amp!!

But anyway, Happy Birthday to Bruce Johnston, vocals, guitar, The Beach Boys. In 1965, Johnston joined the band for live performances, filling in for the group's co-founder Brian Wilson. He wrote the No.1 Barry Manilow hit 'I Write the Songs and also sang on the recordings for Elton John's 'Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me' and several songs on Pink Floyd's album The Wall.
