Good Point here. Do not jump to a different broker just because of spread.

Its really awesome you don't have to pay any taxes in the UK from trading gains? Should move there once profitable for longer term lol. I guess this is only if you are considered as a "amateur". Lets say you make few hundred thousands / million every year in trading gains, you would still pay zero tax?

Here you have to pay around 25% capital gains. As my broker is outside Germany i would have to include it in my annual tax report my self.

Gains from spread betting in the UK are tax free. Government get there money by taxing the spread betting firms - easier than chasing private individuals. They got something right for a change.

I agree with you Claudia, they are all spivs and crooks, but on the whole they have been OK, I can't get more enthusiatic than that but I've stayed with IG the longest

What confused me earlier was DAX was having a poo and cable was going up...
Over analysed it.....again......what is it analysis paralysis?
used to be undecided but nowadays can't make my mind up

I don't want to go off topic too much BUT worth thinking about...
Governments can and will print unlimited money so they don't need to tax people, therefore Tax is theft I know it's a libertarian point of view but it's also a fact lol
I know a few experts who expect the whole financial system to collapse within the next 5-10 years due to all the money that is being printed so if I had a bit of spare cash I'd prepare accordingly for all the chaos that this will bring with it, it might not happen BUT that's another reason I escaped the UK
edit: I'm a dumbo who can't spell chaos

Went for a cuppa and missed a good entry (in Renko world) on the DAX, OK so it took slightly longer than 5 minutes to get back to 12100 then blow through it

EU, 15 min bar break after Lo, than 00 4h range bounce back and lastly attempt for continuation down that failed.
GU, I didn't trade 15 min break, just didn't like those big bars. So waited to try out Claudia's 1h break and it went pretty well.

UK will go bust if they keep printing the way they are and then China will take over. Safest bet as ever is gold.
