The more years i spend at this game, the more i try to simplified my life.

My trader evolution brings me to that:

- 4h and daily trading.
- GBP pairs.
- MACD (histogram mostly) and price analysis.... yes that's it! simple enough and my profitability/time ratio never been that good.
- I also put some ema's to quickly spot the trend and avoiding putting too much emphasis on the chop. Stoch serve only as extra confirmation.

No more scalping and small TF trading. Too much time consuming, trading cost impact is too high.

4H GN trade closed at current week low (1.9380) for +85 pips. Gave me a little more than 1R. I use 1 ATR (period 5) as SL, so my SL was 66 pips. I could have keep the trade but NZ GDP tonight, anything can happen. I prefer to take my chips off the table now, after a nice trade who went exactly as expected.

I made the right call with my GN trade this morning. NZ GDP was not good. May be a trend changer for the GN, still a lot of red news to come for the GBP tomorrow morning. I am still in GC and GJ, target for GJ is previous week low.

BOE red new pushed my trades the right way. GJ and GC closed at target, 100 pips for GJ and 150 for GC. I will now watch potential downside continuation setups. I don't have any trades running right now.

Once or twice a week, when market conditions allow it, i take a setup intraday on the 30 minutes. This morning was the perfect exemple. Strong trend, strong momentum. It was a no brainer. This is my first and probably only 30 min trade of the week.

I have strict rules about thoses setups:

1- Must happen during the overlap of NY and London.
2- On GU only because it have the lowest trading cost and 20-40 pips move are cost-effective.
3- The trend and momentum must be strong with a clear direction.
4- I must see the setup on 30min-1h chart, i never look at chart under thoses TF (1-5-15min are dead for me).

**Please note they are not my main focus nor my main source of income. It's only a bonus when I am infront of the computer and see one of those setups. I am not glued to my computer 24h waiting for them**

I saw that setup developping while I was reviewing my trades for the week. I didn't took it, I don't need too. I already have a very good week and I don't want to risk my chips on a friday intraday trade when i am deep in positive territory like I am now.

But this was a very nice setup, the kind of setup I am always looking for.

First trade of the week. I took a short on GC from daily perspective. Not looking so good right now, GBP gaining strenght across all the bord. Still holding my EG long.

GJ already close at 1.3265 for +64 pips (1R). I close before the initial target of 132.00 because price drop suddenly 60 pips in 20 minutes, just before NY stock market open. That kind of violent move usually PB hard. I am gonna stay alert and i will monitor the possibility of another short during the PB.

I was waiting for the PB on GJ at 1.3305 but it turned at 1.3294.... missed it. I will not try another short for now. I am happy with my +64 pips, quick easy money!

I still have EG and GC open. I am still confident with my EG long but it's not the case with GC. I don't like what i see with GC, I doubt this position will be a winner.

SL at BE on EG, no way that position will return in negative territory. GB gaining strenght across all the bord. A loss is coming on GC, pretty sure of that. I am glad I closed GJ this morning, the 60 pips drop before NY open was really suspicious.
