Thanks for the example and question.

When the 172 pin bar is formed, your analysis is correct you would of had 2/4. If the next bar did not break the low of the pin bar I would have waited for the MACD divergence cross (even if you did that it would of still failed).

If you traded the 172 pin bar you would of lost 1.5%.

The next setup would be the 2 pin bar would be 3/4 as you had the RSI OB on multiple TFs. As you said this also failed an would of lost 2%.

The last setup of the 1 pin bar which only had 1/4 as you only had the round number. This made the 1-1 (and more) and would have pocketed a minimum of 1%.

Overall you would of have slightly down, but you can see from the chart that how price respected the round number level as resistance and did eventually drop.

Hi Zoheb01, if you have the source code for the RSI MTF indicator could you add an option to switch off the alerts. I'm asking this because I will respond only when I see a pinbar alert and don't want to be cluttered up with RSI alerts (unless I choose that). Thanks

Probably not the answer you want to hear but it depends. If your busy, then you will prefer to higher time frames, if you can be flexible and prefer to be more active in the market, then lower time frames.

Good an bad setups occur on all time frames, and your analysis on where these candlestick formations occur on the chart is most important

Thanks for this, I will look into this. In the interim, remove the RSI MTF from your chart and apply it when the pin bar alert triggers.

The reason is because the body is not engulfing the previous candle

Firstly I just recently 3 days ago found this forum and OGT indicator through searching Google for a beginner. I am very new to forex and many abbreviations I need time to look for what's it is all about.
I've been reading through your post and going fews video of yours. I find it very informative and useful. Nothenless some I go through few time to get it. I do have a small request and if what I request, if someone has already requested it before maybe I missed reading it. Do point me to it then. My request may I know for a totally newbie where should I start from your sharing. What I mean in what order order should I start first from your sharing.

Thanks for your continuing work. Is there any way that you could add FORWARD engulfing to the mix? I am looking for something that will alert me when for instance the 1pm candle engulfs the 2pm one. Would be great if it also checked all time frames at the same time so that I could put up one chart, but to just have it scan for forward engulfing would be of great help. Thank you.

I also am unsure of how to bring the indicator to Tradingview, as i do use tradingview and not MT4. Do i have to have MT4 to take advantage of the indicator?

Correct, this is not for Tradingview it is only for MT4 platform.

What is my “best” indicator and what are the “best” settings?

This week I’ve decided to share the MT4 template of how I setup my MT4 chart and the indicators I’m currently using to trade the Forex markets.
