Disliked{quote} There is a triangular relationship that runs at the core of all FX because we don't trade currencies, but rather currency pairs. So E/G = E/U * U/G (note the U cancels out). So if you don't have EG quotes but do have quotes for EU and GU, you can compute a synthetic quote for EG. It won't be exactly the same as there is some general drift in the spreads, but it will be very close. Top chart: EG, middle chart: EU / GU (synthetic EG), bottom chart: EG - synthetic EG{image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} In the practical sense though, how useful is understanding the means between currency pairs? Cointegration of pairs sounds like an exciting research area but I haven't seen anyone using that successfully over the long term. It would be nice to see if there are any practical examples of this used by successful traders.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Indicators work on price action...what controls price action? Real or Algorithm, what would be your view? Does it matter?? Why doesn't it matter? Who programmed the Algorithm if it exists? Human psychology If the market is a natural entity, then it moves through human intervention and Human psychology. What can a chart show, what could an indicator show?.. Human Psychology. How could a TMA, 3 MA's and an understanding of how to use them provide so much information. Why do you roll across the forum with such a negative attitude? Stop quoting...Ignored

Disliked{quote} The thread is a discussion of whether the data is an Algo or a natural market. Recent charts I have posted show a sequence of charts of a move, the targets, and where the next move starts, posted well before the event I have shown this several times in several threads. I believe, as do others who have posted that we are dealing with either an Algo or a centralised data provider. I am under no obligation or contract to provide you with my data, that is my business and not yours. If you want to see some after the event charts then move along,...Ignored
Disliked{quote} For me trading with precision is telling the market will break this support/resistance and will reverse or will continue, is telling in the long term it will go in this direction and this is their target, in the short term it will do this. You have showed charts where it is more than obvious that there will be a stop hunt, but what will happen next, this is the important part, this is the part that requires precision. Real masters in this game trade with the trend not against it.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I do not look for a trend as I do not believe they exist, only price moving from one area of interest to another. I do however favour a reversal back into a recent direction that is favourable with a higher time frame. This may be contrary to an even higher time frame. So which time frame is the true trend, H1 could be long, H4 short and D ranging, what is the trend?Ignored
