That was a perfect spike, think my one position is enough for today, overleverage was the enemy today, still in the game and fighting tomorrow, for now, with very little to contribute, will sit on the sidelines, feel free anyone to post, as is always the case, D

Dow has spiked through the rising support then down, it could become rising resistance if the bar fails to close over, just a thought, D

EJ closed 115.89 reopened WTI short, 27 think the turmoil in the market will be the deciding factor for oil demand, 20 target again,D

I prefer best of both worlds.. Meaning, I love LONG-term snowballing, slowly but steady.. but to be fair.. I prefer it to ROLL it FAST and then WAIT/REST a bit... But do not mind waiting in some BIG position, without leverage even.. BUT ALSO...

I love to risk or even GAMBLE (with at least a bit of a juice/skill into it since we know what the endgame of any gambling game is, if you do not stop, since HOUSE...).... but with smaller deposit... For example... Why not rolling some bigger money and also trade the smaller frames with small money and play with compounds..

For example... I would be LONG gold.. but can also short/long it in parallel account, strategy, balance...

So, LONGTERM, SHORTERM, GAMBLING, LUCK, SKILL, CHANCE, KNOWLEDGE? YES

Can you afford to take that chance?

Hello Auric, good to see you and hope your well, like the idea of bigger position size with less pips, unfortunately it's a dilemma of mine starting with nothing more than a cent account, as of yesterday the account turned 50% however today it has lost about 10%, robbing one for the other, I am starting to look at being more opportunist about profit, if the strike is there i'm probably best suited, created a storm today by letting things roll too long without closing, thanks for taking the time to post, D

Closed with a small profit, getting something back, noticing the bounce in the Dow made my decision, D

I use it like this... I breakdown to 2 MAJOR components...

  1. PRICE PREDICTION (did it happen at all? In what timeframe and how much it went into counter before it went "there"
  2. HARVEST STRATEGY (what TP, SL, LEV combo would be best)...

So as long as I have price prediction strong.. and I get SL because of some harvest problem... I am still happy that at least the important component worked... can always adjust the harvest... Basically... I am doing only ONE trade... PRICE PREDICTION and then I apply different harvesters... For example if you would "know" that the price will be within X time.. or "eventually" (within reason)... and if you are not sure when exactly and if there would be any turbulences.. then higher AUM, lower LEV (if al all) might be good... but if you see ADDITIONAL opportunities WITHIN that timeframe... why not ATTACK it AF... with POCKET CHANGE but with ULTRA LEV.. specially if it follows the "SLOPE" "like a boss"... I use output of my price prediction model and then check the "expectations vs reality" and adjust the HARVEST(s) accordingly...

So...if you were up or down doesn't tell me much, except that prediction+harvest overall was maybe not optimal, but which part? Was prediction OK but harvest to tight or the other way around?

Can you afford to take that chance?

Interesting the volume ticked at the bottom, bounce may continue, still 30 mins of the hourly bar to go, all may change.
