Hi,

You are being deported to a deserted island and told that if you double a Forex account you will be picked up and can go home, but if you loose the account you'll stay there forever. Oh, and you are only allowed to use one (1) indicator. Which indicator would that be, and why that particular one?

Don't ask me how come they have Internet and power for a trading station on this deserted island because I do not have the answer to that

Price. Because that's all you need.
Indicators show the past. Price Action "Indicates" the future.

With power and internet I'd just "google" for "The Worlds Greatest Boat Builder"

I don't know if you can call it an indicator but I just would go long if the candle was green at a line and go short if the candle was red at a line.

You know, that's close to how I have been trading manually on daily charts. However, I use the previous day's candle. The screen shot shows a short trade. Very reliable if you're liberal with you sl. Easy to be stopped out otherwise.

And I would agree with you: One of the best indicators there is are previous days candles, for me especially the actual previous days one.

I know professional traders who do, and I know some that don't. And I would take smoothed over double smoothed any day! I mean, how much smoothness can you stand?
