Davit, you say about trading with your system that the news plays a big part of your thoughts, it must be a bit off a minefield trying to trade with the news at the moment with whats going on all over the world.

Yeah I had some newbies PM me asking me about support and resistance so I thought it might be of use to them. If I want to mark a level I can do that by marking it on the chart. It appeared pretty good at some of the levels it had marked however having said that and not having time to evaluate it perhaps it repaints itself until it looks good.

Its simple only focus Red and orange news.Over time you start seeing patterns what is priced in what's not etc.Dont care about world news in general only relevant events impacting forex

OIL! I wouldn't touch it right now in light of what happened in the past few days. I got this message from the broker today. It validates my thought process on the issue. I believe the CME needs to rethink the entire process on the parameters they have for the circuit breaker on trading oil that allowed this to occur. A lot of other commodities if they have a bad day go lock limit down and have to wait for the next day. The process to lock limit after a + or - 15% in a 1 hour time frame and then only pause for 2 minutes and reset again is absolutely ridiculous. There's no way a commodity should be allowed to go to zero, never mind negative. I read this morning that Interactive brokers lost $88 MILLION on Oil.

interesting to watch ff overall. surprisingly there are a fair number of crazy whack jobs here. seems to draw out some serious losers.
Looks to me that you are teaching us to see the market and control our emotions.

Hi Roman, I agree but when you have a commodity that you have to pay for someone to take away or pay a costly shutdown, the market reflects that a zero. Not much you can do about that, supply and demand. I dont know if there has ever been a commodity in modern history that you had to pay someone to take away? or you pay a huge cost to close down production. You can't have a contract show $15 when at the the spot level they are paying someone to take it away because they cant store it.

Thats a huge lose for Interactive Brokers.

WTI on NYMEX is $10 limit and halt for 5 minutes then expand, its not a percentage limit which probably lies the problem as no one assume 0 or - for a commodity.

Brent holding better at the moment, not landlocked! but how many tankers are there really? and settlement for contracts on Brent hits MAY 1.

Personally, had a UC trade hit tp. Holding a bit of DD with some, while some in profit. Will hold some to 1.40500 others to WP. Of course if market shows something else I will adjust.

Edit. When UC and USDMXN charts seem the same like now in 15M charts...I gauge my UC trades watching WTIUSD first, then see reaction to Peso. Usually it moves first and its moves are larger. Gives you a few seconds to see UC follow. Most cases it works like clockwork, others it gives you a bit of extra edge.

Remember...anything can happen.

Same dynamic works for EC using EU and CJ. If you have minute charts for all three open, you can almost predict what EC is going to do. CJ at resistance looking to turn down; EC will most likely head upward.The direction on EU sometimes trumps the direction on CJ and important to note EC can be a pretty spiky gal with lots of retraces but the principle works giving a couple seconds of heads up.

New trade for today. A bit early but PA is showing a strong rejection. It is a very good RR if it bounces from here.
Yesterday trades on GBP both failed. CADJPY still open and in profit.


CJ closed in TP. Only this trade now open.
