So, Billy, you wait for the first H4 candle to be formed after London session starts. Then you wait for a break out of this candle and trade in that direction. Then your SL will be the other side of that H4 candle and you use ADR to determine your possible TP.

Am I right? If not, would you correct me please?

In this particular case you had a red candle out of the blue box, then almost immediately afterwards another breakout, this time from above the box. This means the first trade was a loser. Am I right?

First, Breakout method is a very old method.
I post in here different setups, but here goes,
Below Cable today. we have the 00-00 4 hour bar,, that is midnigh to 04-00 am UK time.

the next candle/bar breaks the Low, see below

What now, we can hunt the daily range , BUT we do not know if it will keep going down? we could of taken a few pips/points.

we do know what happened time now t 10-33

edit. The low broke and it retraced up, from that chart, at that point, we have no idea if it will keep retracing up or go south again.
This is the hard part., as we know now it dropped.
The point is, we are now playing the daily range, it is all numbers.

edit, if price retraces up and breaks the 00-00 4 hr high. on paper it will only make 10 points.

I know it could well break high and move up 100 , that isnt the point.
i work off adr.
That is why my day has finished, i am like a fish out of water because i have no lines to trade off.

Hi F, you said 4 hour and UK Open,
4 hour candle is 00-00. sometimes the 04-00 4 hour,
UK open is 15 minute candle, a big big disfference.
Ask questions and i will gladly answer.
I have candles and stats,
candles stats candles stats. i play them against each other, whilst watchuing the daily range. (or part of it).

Brexit, virus has made it easy.
I do counter trade and i do have fails.
i failed once about 7 months ago lol.(((JOKING)))

bi had 2 fails yesterday trading off a 2 hour bar/candle but fixed them.
,
Example, today at 00-05 if i went long it would of failed, but i had 114 daily range to play with and fix it.
That ids at its simplest, i need triggers.
