generally i try to manage my risk ratio within 5% but honestly speaking i fail to keep it above all when trading in news and scalping . actually maintaining risk is a real difficult task particularly for beginners , but if anyone practice long time in here there is a chance to manage risk sometimes.

From 25% to 15%, 10% and now 5%. I really like to use high leverage to get rich quick but from my experience i think i have to lower my leverage and reduce % risk per trade. I usually trade average 8 trades per month so i hope 5% is appropriate. If not, i will keep decrease. Because i want stay in the game. If i could not get rich quick, i could get rich slowly. Hope it works

Getting rich slowly is generally the idea when it comes to trading but people are greedy.

I'm using 2% - 3%, I think 3% for me is max to keep account stable.

Could not agree with you more on this. It is sad that traders are easily getting tempted and letting the emotions get the best of them.

2-3% is good if you are using however the industry standards are not risking more than 2.5% of the total funds i guess.

For me, 2 % is safe, the max i can assume is 2.5% anything more than this can be a disaster.

Much less than 1% per trade but I trade very small relative to my account size. For traders starting out with small accounts, it's difficult to avoid having to risk more.

I wouldn't advise anyone to start trading with money less than 1000 dollars. Using little amount of money with good risk management would take a long time for such a small account to grow. That is where the temptation comes. Humans are greedy by nature and greed is what is being sold on the financial markets. With a small account one wouldn't want to keep to his trading rules, risk small or place stop losses. Not to talk about putting on large position sizes due to overconfidence. Small accounts have cut short the promising careers of many inexperienced or greedy traders.
