Here is Fibonacci Lite settings for anyone new, struggling or just want it easy

Play with it until you get the gist of it, need to draw from up to down, or down to up

according to direction of pending order

Actually there was. I noticed that a good number of times price went back to the 50% SL almost to the pip....or very close. It might be helpful to use 55% of the range as your SL. If this adjust the TP a little shorter than 1:1 than that's ok because I seen the same thing with the TP......a little closer might be helpful. In hind sight I wish I would have written down the dates of all the SL's and went back to look at the charts on those days and look at the economic calendar as well to see if there was any correlation. I knew going into it that these stats weren't going to be exact...it's a good starting point. If I had some sort of indicator that did frequency distribution stats for me I would use it...ahha.....doing this stuff long hand is time consuming. I will start a excel SS and enter all this information for the past year and then continue keeping stats going forward on the 7 pairs i mentioned

MoTuBo_EA Version 1.01

A quick fix of a couple of issues, and I highly recommend that you use this one in preference to version 1.0

Fixes:

  1. The range continued to be recalculated after Tuesday close until an entry was made.
  2. Once a trade was open on one pair, it was stopping trades from being opened on other pairs.

Im using your EA (mt5 version), and the first order went smooth. But after that no more orders will open. I have tryed to change the magic number on all pairs, but still no luck. Even if it break the 15% mark, there wont be any open positions.

Mine is working ok now its Wednesday. Have you got a smiley face top right corner. All 26 pairs have Pending or now actual orders running. Can you also see the button to CloseALL

I initially tried the Ea before commencement of Wednesday trading and the ea drew 2 lines on the chart and I had to remove it. I later attached the Ea on the chart few minutes into Wednesday's trading, only USDCHF trade was triggered and is already in profit before I left home.

From the my little test, I discovered that to use the Ea, one must either use VPS or allow ones' PC to remain on for some hours.

My question, must one attache the ea to individual chart?

Yes, you need to place the EA on each chart that you want to trade, and leave your PC on (or use a VPS).

The EA opens market orders, not pending orders, so you only get trades as and when they trigger.

The default trigger is when price touches the entry line, but you can drop the chart down to, say, M30 and set the "Enter on break and CLOSE" parameter to true, and it will then open a trade only when the price closes on or above the entry line.

In the terminal section look in the Experts and Journal to see if there are any errors. Something looks like it may be working as it says Orders 7 on the top. How many charts have you opened with the ea on. Also there is an option on the chart properties to show object descriptions. Right clk on Chart and select properties. select common and last one is the option.

There are no mistakes.
At the moment I am using the expert who posted PaulDV a while ago

I don't understand how it is possible. It is not the first expert I use.
Yesterday, as soon as I entered the chart, the expert put all pending orders on me. But then I saw that it was not working on certain assets and I decided to cancel everything.
Maybe it has remained in memory and is unable to open orders?

ah very nice, exactly the kind of patterns I was talking about, good stuff

And yeah, inputting all data in excel is timeconsuming, but then you can do a lot more stuff with the data once you find new angles. Ofcourse the 'easiest' way to do this is to import tick or 1m data and let excel do all the analysis, but setting this up for a new strategy is still quite time consuming even with good excell skills, and this way you don't have the advantage of gaining new insights just from seeing hundreds of trades.

For example normally when I research a breakout strategy I at least include Date (full date), Time, bars until trade trigger, sl size, directional move in pips, with monthly direction or not, with weekly direction or not and anything else you might want to research. Take into account that unless you highly suspect it might be usefull that it's not worth including as this does cost a lot of time. Especially because you need at the very least 500 trades to say anything statistically relevant at all, while in reality you want at least 2000 trades. This last part is where automating everything obviously comes in.

I suggest you close Mt4 and start again. If you can reboot I would even do that. I have had some funny things happen in the past where a recompiled ea hasn't been loaded. I am running this on a dedicated pc. Worth a try.

I built a script which outputs data into a csv file for as many weeks as required for all pairs but no one was interested. This is an old one.

Whenever real work is involved, you can be sure that people back off very quickly , imho this is the almost the only usefull thing to discuss here but oh well

Much easier to ask for someone else to build an EA and do no actual work yourself, potentially blaming the person that did all the work for you when losses are made afterwards.
