Ratios & Harmonics: a Different Way to Trade

I hope everybody is having a fantastic day! I marked up these charts for another thread that I felt had a little bit more in common with my trading style but was blocked out of that thread because I didn't have those little Red triangles next to my name.

However, my first chart I feel is more in tuned with this thread, my second chart probably not but decided to post it for anybody who might be interested in how I day trade the markets. Enjoy your Sunday and for some your Monday.

trying to get back into forex and learn the harmonics.

Can someone please tell me the difference between Gartley pattern Vs ABCD pattern?

You're viewing absorption as cumulative delta decreasing in an up move in an area of interest, correct? Do you look at actual bids and offers in the footprint or do you use the DOM for execution? Also what timeframe is this? One last question what % imbalance do you use to create your supply and demand zones?

what OF candle indicator is this? and how do you use it to identify your entry in real time? since every one is putting a smile emoji
Good Afternoon, x3m-PippiN - Ebeno, I hope all is well. Your first question would be somewhat correct. My ideal set up would be to see very large buyers lifting into the Offer (Ask) where there is resting liquidity, especially if that liquidity has been resting since pre-market open. At the same time, I like to see Iceberg orders at the (Offer) containing and absorbing those large Buyers at that Price. A perfect scenario would have no buyers hitting the Offer above this level.

Example, 1250 contracts are lifting into the offer but not able to continue higher as the Iceberg orders are absorbing and containing those Buy contracts, price then ticks down with a few Offers hitting the Bid, then immediately ticks back up with large Buyers again trying to lift the offer but getting know where. I'll then "Short" if suddenly I see 200 to 300 offers hitting the bid (seller), then another 200 to 500 hitting the Bid below that Bid.

Why go Short there? Because those very large contracts are now TRAPPED BUYERS. Large Institutions then start taking out the stops of those large contracts and price tumbles. On Feb 11th, I posted a video of this exact scenario.

However, before I even get to that point I draw out my Harmonic Chart structure, usually focusing that structure around those resting liquidity areas.

The other chart you see in my previous post are OFA Chart "OrderflowAnalytics", Which by the way I have no affiliation with them, I'm just a happy customer.

Here is how I set up my charts before my trading day begins. Also, my trades are executed from the Jigsaw Dome, which I believe x3m you have? I also have another similar trading style that uses the same concept.

Thanks for the clear explanation! I don't personally use the cumulative delta. I prefer watching each individual candle's delta. And yes I have Jigsaw's tools but I have replicated them in my Sierra charts platform so I don't use them anymore.
I know about OrderflowAnalytics.. that's why I was asking about the imbalance setting you use for those magenta and blue dots next to the imbalances.
Your chart reminds me very much of Rocky's charts.

Hello 2020DowJones, x3m-PippiN, the Jigsaw Dom you use to execute your trades is it a level III price ladder, and also the liquidity chart you are using did it come with the Jigsaw Dom or it a separate thing entirely.

It's level 2 (not 3) data. And yes, the auction vista (liquidity chart) comes with the DOM. There is also a neat Time & Sales window and other little tools. Over all it's a pretty nice peace of software with constant upgrades.

Thank you Trublu, I'll be posting trades now and then. Might challenge myself this summer with the Top Step combine, although rumor has it that because of their very strict rules it's very hard to pass, we will see. I really don't think my Dad will post anymore on F.F. He trades with Interactive Brokers and uses the Dom more than uses the charts to Day trade the ES. Thank You

After studying the structure analysis and order flow, i have a question hopefully you guys can help me understand or direct me to the relevant post.
I understand how to assess the strength and weakness using momentum, projection and depth, but when I put the fibs how do I know what level of correction to expect. is there criteria for expecting shallow 38%, med 50% or deep correction? I remember Mr Pip saying if price broke the structure we expect a deep correction, but is there any other criteria we should keep in mind?

If we have bigger projection on the current swing, we would expect a shallower correction (38% - 50%) and if we have a reduction in projection we would expect a mid to deep correction (50% -61% -78%).

how about the previous correction (depth) does it actually telling us anything about the current one? I mean if it was deep or complex correction, does that give us better expectation of how deep the current correction should be?

Fibonacci Extension are used as a measuring tool to calculate areas of exhaustion or areas where price may be over bought or oversold. I have been trading PA no indicators for 6 months, I only had my aha moment when I found the thread and the structure analysis make me see everything different. three days trial and 30% in the green, hopefully that will stay consistent. I am giving my self three years before walk on the water
