the trend indicator is not working. the candles are not showing any trend or colour. can you please help me ?

Hey guys I'm a bit delayed this side, but we off for the week!

The 23:00 had no valid pairs so there was no trade this week, the 03:00 hit TP last night, the 04:00 is still active and in some DD, and the 05:00 hit SL so a kind of a mixed bag this week depending on what time you opened the basket.

The daily tests are still active and going well so far, but I need to do a lot more forward testing before I can compile any solid data. In 1-2 months I should have more good data and can share more details and set files of what I'm working on.

Hi MyCapitas, I'm not sure why it would not be working. I just checked on my chart and the indicator is working fine.

Make sure your terminal is connected and receiving ticks so the indicator can read the tick data and function.

strange, my results of the default 3am weekly basket usually tally with what you /others report here, but unlike you, this week my basket hit SL. global prime broker

It could be down to broker data differences or money management settings.

What lot size are you using? I'm using 0.01/$333 or 0.03/$1000, this is a much lower risk money management so things would really have to go wrong to hit SL.

i'm using higher, fixed 0.05 lots on a £3000 account. 4000 point tp and 4000 point sl. But I had accidentally left the % tp and sl settings in, however the negative basket was still not high enough to trigger either (it was about 212 pips). so its a bit strange

anyways have removed the 5% tp and 10% sl settings, will see what it does next week

Hi blamshakk, I'm actually contemplating releasing the EA again as there has not been much feedback or participation from members here. The last version had 164 downloads yet I can count on 1 hand how many have posted some contribution.

I did not post my results last week, but I am still actively forward testing various settings and collecting data, yet it seems I'm the only one, and you that are using it so I'll give it some more thought about sharing my EA that people use, but don't participate.

thanks, at this stage I'm testing the default settings and just trying to see how it does in the medium to long term, same as my approach to mist other systems, so apologies for the lack of regular feedback

Yes this week the default 03:00 hit TP, also the 23:00 hit TP.

Here is the EA with expiry set to end of the month. Based on my previous post #731, if there is not much participation from others then this will more than likely be the last version I share publicly.

The main point of giving the EA is for us to come together and test different ideas and settings, and to collaborate to find the best combination of time frames and open times. There are too many variations for 1 person to test so its good to have our own ideas of how we think the EA can work successfully, but if people only come and download and disappear that does not help anyone.

thanks for providing an updated version. can i chime in with my $0.02. EA testing is for me an extensive process which goes on for many months. I only have capacity on my pc to test one config (i'm using default) to gauge performance, as i have other test platforms ongoing. I can understand your frustration to not see people actively posting, but i suspect for many there is silent appreciation for anyone who shares their work, especially if it is a profitable.

If you are not going to update the EA, that is a strong and obvious disincentive for people to continue to test. What I can promise however is to report back every week how the weekly basket fared.

So this week has been another mixed bag and so far its hard to see an emerging winner although there's still lots of forward testing to do.

23:00 hit TP 5%.
03:00 hit SL -10%.
04:00 hit TP 5%.
05:00 hit TP 5%.

Now for the daily settings, some sets are starting to show themselves and I'm getting a pretty good idea of what set is working. A few more months of testing and I should have a winner for trading this strategy daily.
