Dow has now hit the outer boundaries on the daily, it touched yesterday and spiked below today, where it goes from here is anyone's guess, seems charting could be a useless pastime for the mo, if the Dow moves positive I will expect Asia indexes to move by proxy, as I thought the opposite while Asia was open.

I know the feeling bollinger bands aren't that reliable with exterme moves Only plain old (e)ma will d the trick

Dow wanting to push up, not taking advantage of the usual pump n dump, wouldn't surprise some news out to it's benefit, it's taken the 225 with it, all could be artificial

Is that the bottom,now hit the last line of sequence, interesting to find out from here, 225 closed out, Dow still in play.

If daily close with a nice pinbar we might have a short recovering on friday. But corona is far from over.

Think the intention was always to drop this Li, corona has became an excuse for every slip up, loss, or someone who cannot find their socks, now the market has got it's "bargain" it will move regardless of anything, if it's to do so, only my opinion, off to work soon, speak later, D

I’m not so sure anyone will want to go into the weekend long... The price action today does look a lot like a bottom though. VIX hit nearly 37 and equities are up about 3% from the low.

I’m not sure what to make of it yet and I’m reserving judgement for now.

I trade/scalp lower time frames so a tight spread is important to me. With futures i have a spread of 1 tick (0,01) with CFDs i have a spread of 2/3 ticks.
If a future contract moves 1 tick in your favor you already are in profit (if you sell) with CFDs you'll need 5 till 7 ticks to make 1 tcik profit because of the spread.
On CFDs the spread widens during news event with future it doesn't.

If you're a swing trader then (futurebased)CFDs might suit you more as spot CFDs will charge you overnight commission.

The downsize of trading futures is that it requires a big account compared to trading CFDs and you're not able to hedge on the same contract.

I see you trading CFDs with tickmill whats your spread. With my forex broker ATC Brokers my average spread atm is 2,6 til 3 cent spread on XTI and brent 2,5 til 2,9

Yep, I agree. If you’re capitalized well enough futures are clearly the better choice.

For now, I trade eurusd and gbpusd instruments. The tickmill offer is the ECN one, 0.1 - 0.3 pips spread. But they charge 0.2 commission per lot side.
