Having a birthday today is Carole King, US singer, songwriter who wrote many songs with Gerry Goffin including the 1962 UK No.3 & US No.22 single, 'It Might As Well Rain Until September'. Her 1970 US No.1 album 'Tapestry' has sold over 15 million copies and became a Grammy award winner in 71.

I might be wrong, but I think that this is the song that kicked things off for Billy Joel. I heard it today in the car on the way to the beach and I remembered that the lyrics are very well written and subtle, but right on point!
