I've got 28592 as a yearly cycle (sponge cycle) so I'm thinking possible bear matket below

According to Barcharts S&P has a fair push of volume for the first month of Q1, Jan candle looks bearish too

I expected limited upside around 3331 with support at 3266 but it now looks like further downside, looking for support 3224, 3199 poss target 3160.

My timing tool gives dates to watch 3/11 Feb.

Hello all, hope your well, seems the Dow took a hammering on Friday, did manage a few sheckles, had a better target in mind but took my opportunity when I did, you just never know, it was only a matter of time the coronavirus would have an effect on the markets, hopefully the Illuminati find a cure then normal service will resume, we can only but pray for those affected, hopefully it will be contained, eradicated and wish a speedy recovery, see you all on the battlefield, D

It feels to me like we'd need this correction to last longer. Its only been 11 trading days since we were at all time highs and the VIX hasn't even hit 20.

I checked my all my economic indicators last night and long still looks like the correct side to be on long-term. This should change sometime soon though, a lot of indicators are looking bearish at this point. One I'm watching closely is unemployment claims, if that starts ticking higher I'm out. Right now though, I'm just going to ride this out and plan on a strategy for the coming bear market.

Yes it's a bit early for the quarterly view.

I have a cycle level at Dow 28592 which is being tested at the moment, if it holds I think we are heading north again.

Barcharts Dow chart is similar showing heavy volume for Jan.

Guys, specially the one from UK.. any ideas what might happen now post-brexit? Will brokers exploit this EU nonsense of 30:1 limit?
Anything possible now, the question is who will get smarter first... Till then, I prefer to be hedged Also, can someone explain to me what profits are completely tax-free in UK.. spread-betting for natural persons, which markets? Also, to be some on-topic... I think some are confusing seasonality drop to some other things but anyway, I believe we might be in BUY opportunity by end of this month, specially after this "health" topic will be much clearer... TBA

Hi, I'm a small player so tax free for me but if trading is your main income then I think tax would be payable. Some folks say the spread and charges outweigh the tax advantage.

Mostly all markets are available, Indices, Forex, Oil, Gold etc.

If I understood from the link you provided, it does not matter if you are small or big player as long as you stay private (natural) person, you could earn millions and not pay anything (assuming one have/establishes some small payment via company, just to have it)? Also I see that this only for SPOT trading since UK regards it as gambling, so it is TAX free AND also you do not have to report at all, in annual income etc, or do you have to?

Of course some would set-up company to have income over it as the link suggests as it would appear some base company would be needed, to have income over it and then one is not considered professional gambler? I mean it is funny they bring this (gambling, trading) together, by law
