seems like no one will be willing keep longs on US stocks over the w/e... the day and the week might end up with a huge sell-off... DAX is dropping fast...

Are you talking scale, time and price wise or fundamentally?
Either way there is no crash imminent, your synopsis is totally irrelevant to the current market conditions and seems to be driven by irrational thinking.
Either way im not foolish enough to totally dismiss a market crash as we all know they do happen, know one , not even you can predict it, no matter what you think.

But looking at the market big picture actually MAKES it relevant, right? Take the trend up from DJIA of 6500 to present....all of those months were made up of weeks of market movement, some up and some down, ranging from just a few points to 2000+. Every "decade" candle is made up of "yearly" candles, which is made up of monthly candles, which is made up of weekly candles, which is made up of daily candles, with the results of each an every one of them culminating to show the big picture.
Let's say that the market DOES go to 18000....it certainly won't go there in one trading period. and every day/week to get there will not all be negative. There will be periods in there for long trades, maybe only short-term, but there nonetheless, because oversold conditions occur in every large drop. It is those periods that swap between up and down that MAKEs it relevant to the big picture because support and resistance will be hit time and time again. If you do not have the ability to capitalize on anything other than an up trend, then you become just an investor and not a trader. And as you mentioned in one of your previous posts, the time of investors is over.
Looking at only the end results of 18000 without looking at the path to that destination is like driving from Miami to Seattle without a map...you can eventually get there, but you will miss out on a whole lot along the way...….

I already presented my longer-term view with a picture in this very thread in the very first post... nothing of any importance has changed since then to reconsider...
Have to agree. I am expecting something big in 2020. Markets will plummet. Likely Trump will be the cause.

Trumps entire MO is to elevate the market and to remove any regulations that would prohibit that.
Earnings drive the US market right now. Nothing else.

lower red line is the immediate target and the magnet for the moment... break below it is also guaranteed,,, just a matter of time, which is impossible to predict accurately in advance...

BTW I have all the "Fantasy 5" statistics up to something like the draw #8630 (for sure) or perhaps even more than that...
