I wasn't at my computer, so I missed it. So this is just a chart dump ( I hope that's okay). No assertions that the trade was taken are being made.
However, I got up early this morning and was able to catch a nice trade in oil before the inventory release.
Without VSA, you're playing checkers while the Smart Money plays chess.

Some ugly trading this morning including breaking the cardinal rule of moving the stop. But came back with the help of ES and hit the minimum daily goal.
I had trouble today with trading effectively the broad bear channel that was developing. Utilizing the smaller swings on the tick chart as "trend breaks" is not effective in that type of environment; seeing the trees but not the forest, as they say. The pullbacks are deep enough to make me think "long", but in reality its just deep pullback to go back short. I did poorly today, but have confirmed a weakness in methodology.
Nonetheless, overall the methodology is proving successful; need to stay consistent and disciplined; today would have been better had I been disciplined.

Have downloaded Ninjatrader the functionality of which I'm very impressed with. Setup with it on sim at the moment - taken 3 trades today so far - the first were quick scalps between significant areas - one for b/e+ one for small profit, the next was a pullback to the high of the opening as well as being above my envelope and trendline resistance (that was earlier support).

While the developing auction is UP: the Market is finding Value higher today than yesterday, the fixed auction is DOWN: the Market found Value lower yesterday than the day before. Thus, I am only looking to take Shorts. I broke the rules and took a Long. I'm not feeling too good about it. It worked out nicely, but I think I would feel better if it didn't. I don't to be misled by the positive reinforcement (a win) of a negative action (breaking my rules).

Any trading going out there? I'm still on sim on Ninja - have transitioned over to watching the nasdaq, and boy does that thing move, so currently trying to work out what kind of stops/profit targets make sense to use as it can whip around and stop you out in a heartbeat. It's not worth me adding any charts for now as it's just a jumble of me playing around. Hope everyone's doing well and making money
